Hey, hey happy Wednesday! Today at Freshly Made Sketches our hostess is Amy. If you don't know her I suggest popping on over to her blog to see her beautiful cards. She's got a wonderful sense of color, her designs are so fresh and her cards always make me smile! Her sketch this week is eye-poppingly good and I can't wait to see your creations light up the gallery! I know I've been using washi tape a lot lately, but that is not washi tape on my card! I've got some MFT dies that resemble ripped washi tape so I stamped some patterns then die cut the "tape" out of them (using the colors from The Paper Players, by the way). I stamped a funky flower, a little texture and I was done! Don't forget to pop on over to Freshly Made Sketches and check out our newest challenge. The design team have got some great cards to show you too! Thanks for stopping by! Supplies: Stamps: Jofy Mini 13, Jofy Collection 12 (Jofy); Take Note (Verve); Washi Patterns (My Favorite Things) Paper: Classic Ivory (Flourishes); Natural White (Neenah); Pear Pizzazz Ink: Black Licorice Hybrid (My Favorite Things); Pear Pizzazz, Calypso Coral (SU); Copics

Congrats to Whitney and Patrick on their marriage! This post is a bit belated - but wanted to share their beautiful images. A special thanks and credit to Jennifer Kontomerkos from The Finer Things Event Planning for helping put together such a gorgeous and fun day and for introducing me to this sweet couple. First are a few images from their first look. I just love this one of Whitney coming up the escalator to meet her man! I'm a big fan of couples doing a first look - and logistics and practicality aside, I love the images that often come out of it. Just loved all the floral work from this wedding which were done by Mary at Rose Bredl Flowers in the Short North. One of my favorite images from the day: Loved these modern, chic and minimalist floral centerpieces. Beautifully done Mary! Everyone loves a candy buffet!

I'm not quick to admit it, but I sort of love winter. Even the snowiest ones (actually the snowier the better in my book). And let me tell you, if this winter looks anything like this gorgeous shoot ...
I love seeing how wild and carefree this shoot is….from the elevated centerpieces to the loose calligraphy of the invitations and menu…its a wonderful departure from what I normally would post, but still delightfully modern at the same time! Scroll down to get more insight behind the shoot. From the vendors: The vision for this…
