Belgian Deknudt mirror Legend Gold in XXL size. The traditional gold mirror has been turned on its head by mirrors other than DeKnudt. Elements of a baroque mirror are included in this legend gold. There are coarse curls at the corners that break up the straight frame. The element on top of the rectangular mirror gives the mirror even more panache. Typically, baroque mirrors are usually oriented vertically, which makes the Legend Gold even more special with its horizontal arrangement. A raised blindstamp is in the lower right margin of the print. "L'Estampe Moderne" was a French art publication founded in 1897 by Charles Masson and Henri Piazza. It aimed to promote the contemporary printmaking movement, specifically Art Nouveau and Symbolist styles, by showcasing the works of established and emerging artists. The publication consisted of a series of 24 monthly issues, each containing four high-quality original lithographs, accompanied by a descriptive text. Many prominent artists of the time, such as Alphonse Mucha, Henri Toulouse-Lautrec, and Félix Vallotton, contributed to the publication.
