Kairòs guitars are fully handamade by the Italian luthier Nunzio Kairòs They are high-quality models based on original Torres instruments of different sizes and eras. All Kairòs guitars have a unique and impeccable sound and due to its fully and detailed handcrafted construction, Kairòs guitars are highly responsive and impressively dynamic. The resulting sound quality is absolutely amazing - it has a big (almost "husky"), overtone-rich firmness in every note. Rather than producing partials that scatter uncontrollably and "blur out" the fundamental of each note, the overtone content is packed densely and evenly within every note across the register, retaining great clarity to each fundamental. This hearty and thick sound makes playing legato a breeze thanks to the excellent sustain and clear separation. Kairòs guitars have great dynamic range and responds beautifully to the slightest of adjustments in hand position and attack. Sound- and playability-wise, they could be played in any professional setting, whether in solo or ensemble in any venue regardless of size. On top of all this, Kairòs guitats are meticulously built with great class and style from well-selected and cut materials. They combine great lyrical beauty with a big, robust sound to satisfy the needs of any musician. Some main characteristics: - Priority to local and sustainable wood such as walnut, Italian spruce, cherry. - The neck profile is handcarved following a very flat D-shape, so that you get no tension in your thumb and avoid possible tendinitis often caused by over curved neck's profiles (usually C-shaped). - The bridge is a 12-hole bridge creates a very straight angle between the bridge and the bone saddle, preventing annoying and inefficient breaking points like in the typical 6-hole bridges. The 12-hole bridge contributes to enhance sustain and not to dissipate essential vibrations. - The top is manually and accurately voiced to get the richest amount of harmonics and responsiveness. - For this specific guitar, following the last Romanillos building philosophy, I decided not to apply the shellac in order to keep the wood as free and responsive as possible. I only sealed the pores of back, sides and neck, and then I have finished the entire instrument with natural oil. Kairòs guitars are carefully 100% handmade and are unique pieces of craftsmanship.
