"Wicker Weave Bracelet" design
**Table of contents** is often considered to be one of the most unspectacular design elements ever invented. Because of its simple, usual form, table of contents is often not given the attention it may deserve — after all, it is just a list of the parts of a book or document organized in the order in which the parts appear. But why not use exactly that and surprise the reader of a booklet, brochure, annual report or a book with some beautiful and original table of contents? In fact, many creative approaches are possible. And this post attempts to prove exactly that.

I absolutely adore those lovely Sami bracelets, but they are very expensive if you want to buy one. I found a little crafting kit for such a bracelet, including all materials and a tutorial. Following the tutorial I braided the tenntråd ( a textile core, wrapped with thin silver alloyed tin wire) and also used the narrow reindeer leather strap. The braid then had to be attached to a wider leather strip and closures made of leather and reindeer antler were sewn to the ends. The leather strip then was closed on the backside by stitching. I also ordered a length of tenntråd to test braiding some Birka posaments. Ein kleiner Gleitknoten, dient jetzt meinem Vater als Bartperle ;) A little sliding knot, now used by my father as beard adornment ;) Noch mehr Gleitknoten in verschiedenen Formen: More varieties of sliding knots: Ein Rekonstruktionsversuch des Posaments Bj520, P10a: Trying to recreate posament Bj520, P10a: Noch ein Gleitknoten, diesmal nach Fund Bj561, St23: Yet another sliding knot, this time a reconstruction of Bj561, St23:
