According to legend, Shesha Naag is a divine serpent with a thousand heads who supports the universe on his hoods while resting on the cosmic ocean. Krishna, on the other hand, is one of the most important gods in Hinduism, who is revered as the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. He is often depicted as a mischievous child, a charismatic youth, or a wise and compassionate teacher. In Hindu mythology, there are several stories that describe the relationship between Krishna and Shesha Naag. One of the most famous stories involves the young Krishna playing on the banks of the Yamuna River with his friends when he accidentally drops his ball into the river. When he tries to retrieve the ball, he is attacked by the multi-headed serpent Kaliya who lives in the river. Krishna fights with Kaliya and eventually subdues him by dancing on his heads. The serpent then realizes his mistake and begs for forgiveness. Krishna forgives him and orders Kaliya to leave the Yamuna River and never harm anyone again. In this story, Shesha Naag is often depicted as the brother of Kaliya and is said to have witnessed the whole incident from the riverbank. He is said to have been impressed by Krishna's bravery and power, and so he becomes one of his devotees. Another story tells of how Shesha Naag supported the infant Krishna on his hoods when he was born. According to the legend, when Krishna was born, his father Vasudeva carried him across the Yamuna River to protect him from the evil King Kansa who sought to kill him. As they crossed the river, the waters rose, and the divine serpent Shesha Naag emerged from the river and offered his hoods to support the infant Krishna and Vasudeva. This allowed them to safely cross the river and reach the village of Gokul, where Krishna was raised by his foster parents. Overall, the stories of Krishna and Shesha Naag highlight the important themes of courage, devotion, and the interconnectedness of all beings in Hindu mythology.
