Some cynics say that religion is a crutch for people who fear death. That may sometimes be the case, but it certainly does not apply to those who study Torah. The Torah does not say much about life after death. It's really not a book about how to go to heaven or what happens after we die.

Truth is they still really aren't convenient...but they are way better. Soon after I gave the se babies a cute makeover I realized they also needed to be more functional. Basically I just wanted a way to hold my cell phone while I was tottering around the house because what kept happening (over and over again) was that the mister would run out to do errands and would call to make sure I was doing ok while he was out. But since my knee was swollen and hurting I'd be wearing yoga pants or pajama pants (both of which have no pockets) and would miss the calls. By the time I'd get back to the phone he'd be starting to worry and I had twice as much unessesary crutching around. Long story short- I needed a crutch pocket! I don't know why I only feel like sewing while I'm sick or injured but it's definitely a theme with me. This time thought I decided to forgo using the machine and opted to sew my handy dandy pocket by hand. I'm actually really happy with how it came out. It holds a few essentials and seriously makes the crutches about a thousand times better. My knee is getting better- in fact I only need the crutches some of the time now. If I've iced and rested my knee I can do a bit of limping around without them. And tomorrow I have my first PT appointment so soon I think I'll be back to my regularly planned March crafting. Thanks for all the nice comments on my first crafty crutch post wishing me well! : )

After listening to these affirmations you may find yourself feeling much lighter and more open to accepting goodness. The more you forgive the better you feel. The better you feel, the less you need food to improve your mood or use it as an emotional crutch resulting in less emotional eating. Don’t worry if the very first time you feel a bit worse. It’s like detoxing negative energy from your system that was stored there for years. As usual, be patient with yourself. Practice forgiveness daily. Next time someone hurts you, you can forgive them immediately instead of holding onto a grudge and ruining your whole day. And please don’t forget to forgive yourself! A huge weight loss block I see is frustration, resentment and anger towards self and others about the current situation around weight and past dieting experiences. Often it feels like your effort doesn’t bring you the desired result and you’re frustrated and angry because nothing ever works for you. If you feel anger and resentment about being where you are at with your weight or that weight loss is hard for you then this audio will help you forgive and let go and create the reality around food and weight that you desire. A key habit to help you stick to your healthy habits is to stop beating yourself up if you fail. It’s more satisfying to stick to a habit if you don’t bully yourself into it but instead, you are a compassionate loving cheerleader for yourself. Dwelling over a mistake for extended periods of time can be very detrimental to you. Especially if you comfort yourself with food to feel better. Human beings are literally programmed to make mistakes. We are not given an instruction manual at birth detailing the correct way to handle the vast array of decisions and events we experience throughout our lifetimes. Therefore, it makes no sense to go through life with the intent of being absolutely perfect. Mistakes are a mandatory part of the learning process. Consider this: every single thing you have ever learned how to do with any level of expertise has been achieved through trial and error. Have you seen a child learning to walk? They don´t give up and think “Oh well, I´m such a loser, a fell on my nappy again, I´m never going to learn to walk, I’ll just sit here instead.” They try and try again until they learn to walk. This process in no way ends just because you have become an adult. For as long as you live, you will continue to encounter new situations. That being said, it is silly to think that, as an adult, you will somehow be able to respond to new situations the right way from the start. It is important to consider each and every mistake as a lesson that allows you to adjust, modify your actions and do better the next go around. Forgiveness isn’t only an important part of maintaining good relationships, but also a requirement for nurturing your own mental environment. So forgive others and most importantly forgive yourself. Forgiveness sets you free from emotional eating and binging.

I designed this carrying basket for crutches after I broke my ankle while at college. This crutch box was a lifesaver for me as I finished the semester and now it's available for you as well. The basket has a 5.5" x 4" opening, with a usable depth of 6.5", meaning that it can almost anything that you might need to carry during your everyday life while on crutches, such as a smartphone or small tablet, books, drinks with lids, snacks, or common hygiene products as shown above. The 3D printed plastic basket is both sturdy, rigid, and easy to assemble, bolting directly into the existing adjustment holes of most standardized medical crutches with the provided hardware. A Phillips head screwdriver and a #10 wrench or pliers are required for assembly but are not included. The original basket is designed to attach snugly to crutches that are 5 3/8" in outside width. Please measure your crutches before ordering to ensure a proper fit. The basket is available in four colors: black, red, blue, and green.* *Please note that the color of the prototype basket shown in the gallery above is no longer available.
