Many beautiful worship songs can move us in a way that secular music can’t. “Way Maker” is originally by Michael W. Smith, but one virtual choir performs a jaw-dropping rendition of the hit song. Students from Liberty University came together to sing a song to give everyone listening to a sense of hope. The world

"In My Heart The Answer Is Yes, But I Said No." After months of work, I was able to build 6 members for my Sisters of Sigmar warband, which is a small feat based on the speed at which I build and convert models. Despite this accomplishment, 6 members is pretty small when it comes to an effective warband in Mordheim. With the Mordheim 2019 event close at hand, I knew that I would not have much in the way of time to convert any more and still have time to paint them. “Maybe I could try to convert one more model, and do it quickly, as an entry into my Conversion Corner posts?” I thought. After seeing Alexander Winberg’s own sisters of Sigmar, with their sinister masks and overcoats, I thought that I could make a Sister heralding from his clan to assist my warband. Alexander’s warband are guards to the deepest dungeon of the Sisters of Sigmar’s Fortress-Monastery, the Rock. I sculpted a beaked ‘plague doctor’ mask for the sister. In addition to the dagger hidden behind her back, the sister holds a holy symbol of Sigmar. In an effort to mirror Alex’s work, I based my conversion on one of the House Delaque ganger models. I trimmed off the rebreather and the armor plating on the back of the model’s coat. I then sculpted twin-tailed comet buckles on the coat and added an additional layer of leather over the model’s shoulders. I replaced the model’s left arm with one from the plastic Sisters of Silence and positioned it behind the model’s back, and gave her one of the Delaque daggers. Her other hand came from the Isharann Tidecaster model. I modified the icon she was holding onto a small icon of Sigmar. Her head also came from the Tidecaster model, which I glued the tip of a sword to, and with some green stuff, turned into a mask. The mask design was inspired from the masks of plague doctors, and the face of the 3rd Angel from Neon Genesis Evangelion, Sachiel. With a little trimming and sculpting work, the Necromunda Delaque gangers coats can fit right into fantasy! The sister of the inner Choir stands a head taller than even the Matriarch of the warband (the Delaque models are massive...). With this model finished, I am thrilled to say I have finally built all of the members of my Sisters of Sigmar warband for Mordheim 2019! Now to the arduous task of painting them. Not much time left until the event! - Adam Wier
