I’m in my car, driving early on a Thursday morning, when the young woman behind me flashes her lights. Am I going too slow for her? Daring to drive 40 mph because that’s the speed limit? That must be so because she’s trying to pass me, looking impatient when I glance in my rear view mirror to see what she wants. Suddenly, she switches lanes and swerves around me and zips around the next two cars. Seconds later, she swerves back into my lane, speeding ahead only to catch the next red light — along with everyone she had passed.
“At three o’clock, implore My mercy, especially for sinners; and, if only for a brief moment, immerse yourself in My Passion, particularly in My abandonment at the moment of agony. This is the hour of great mercy for the whole world. I will allow you to enter into My mortal sorrow. In this hour, I will refuse nothing to the soul that makes a request of Me in virtue of My Passion…” (Diary, 1320). THE 3 O' CLOCK PRAYER TO THE DIVINE MERCY In October 1937 in Cracow, Poland Jesus appeared to St. Faustina asking that the world honor Him with a moment of prayer and contemplation on His Passion at the time He died for us, 3pm. Jesus said, "At three o’clock, implore My mercy, especially for sinners; and, if only for a brief moment, immerse yourself in My Passion, particularly in My abandonment at the moment of agony. This is the hour of great mercy for the whole world. I will allow you to enter into My mortal sorrow. In this hour, I will refuse nothing to the soul that makes a request of Me in virtue of My Passion…immerse yourself in prayer there where you happen to be, if only for a very brief instant…It pleases Me to grant everything you ask of Me if what you ask for is compatible with My will." Words of Jesus, Diary of St. Faustina Everyday we call upon God’s mercy upon the whole world. We pray not only for ourselves and for our immediate families, but we pray for all souls, believers and nonbelievers; we pray especially for those who are most in need of God’s mercy and we do this everyday at a sacred time, 3pm (in our local time zones), because 3pm is the time Our Savior Jesus Christ died for us! Let us honor Our Savior by remembering His Passion each day at the time He died for us while we pray for His mercy upon all! You expired, O Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls and an ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world. O Fount of Life, unfathomable Divine Mercy, envelop the whole world and empty Yourself out upon us. O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fount of mercy for us, I trust in You. Amen. SHARE TO OTHERS AND BE BLESSED 🙏 ♥
Good morning, God. Thank you for another day. Thank you for being with me every single moment of today. I’ve been a bit ungrateful lately, Lord. Well, actually, it’s probably more than “a bit.” Please forgive me for my complaining. My impatience. None of my “reasons” justify my stinkin’ attitude . Thank you for your love which meets me where I am. Thank you for your forgiveness which is so undeserved. Thank you for the bazillion things you have given me… …for which I am grateful. I don’t want to waste another day whining. Please […]
Deconstructing? Let Us Pray For You There's a lot going on in this story. Sarah thinks her church cared about her own uniquely authentic spiritual growth. She thought her deconstruction was a good thing... healthy, normal, and necessary. She owned it and is proud of herself for progressing along in her spiritual journey. One of the biggest developments is that fear no longer plays such a controlling factor in her life... because she's come to realize, much to her dismay and delight, that scary concepts such as demons and hell are just fear tactics to keep religious observants in line. In her naïvité, she assumes everyone will be supportive of her. Her church thinks otherwise. She's breaking rank. Breaking loose. Breaking faith. Breaking God's heart. The pastor either heard about Sarah from another member, or he's making a calculated guess that there must be someone in his congregation deconstructing. And he's going to nip that in the bud now. I wonder what happens next. Any guesses?

With the state of our world, our students and children need prayers now more than ever. Our lives have gone from somewhat predictable to completely unpredictable. Each day we turn on the news, we are faced with more challenges and unknowns. Students returning to school at college, grade school, or home all have a unique set of anxieties as they encounter a different set of guidelines. Not only are they having to focus on making the best decisions in their academic lives but making wise choices to remain physically safe as well.In the book of Ephesians, the Apostle Paul writes to the church from prison. He ends the book encouraging the believers to pursue strength in the Lord. Our battles are not physical but spiritual. To be strong in God we must pray for protection from head to feet with His divine armor. As our children enter new and challenging circumstances, our prayers are vital to protect them from the spiritual battles they will be facing in this new school year. In Ephesians 6:10-17, Paul tells the church to put on a different piece of spiritual armor to protect each part of the body from spiritual attack. Let us pray for our students and children as they enter this new battle.“Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and by his vast strength. Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this darkness, against evil, spiritual forces in the heavens. For this reason take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having prepared everything, to take your stand. Stand, therefore, with truth like a belt around your waist, righteousness like armor on your chest, and your feet sandaled with readiness for the gospel of peace. In every situation take up the shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit—which is the word of God.” (Ephesians 6:10-17)Photo Credit: © Getty Images/coscaron
