And it looks like tiberium_blue has seen fit to build Sleepy Oak Bed and Breakfast that will fit the bill. Someplace snowy, where there’s a lovely fireplace to curl up and read by. I’m rather impressed by the details in the rooms, like the aquarium up above. That’s not even to say the fabulous visual […]

Last October at BrickCon 2012, Seattle-area builder Alice Finch unveiled what just might be the largest LEGO structure built by a single person, a near-complete minifig-scale rendition of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry from J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series of books and the corresponding movies. Alice’s Hogwarts took home both “People’s Choice” and “Best […]

Grab the LEGO® bucket, because this is such a fun building project! Make an endless cube, also called an infinity cube, out of LEGO® bricks. This cube transforms shape over and over without an end. It’s such a neat toy to build, and it’s fun to play with! We did not design this project – […]

After a trip to Japan, Ryan was determined to recreate one of Japan's feudal castles. The real Himeji Castle is a massive structure built on a large hill with an imposing curved stone base wall. Builders Troy Walker and Ryan McNaught spent a LONG time jamming slopes, bricks and plates together to recreate the stone pattern. The castle altogether uses just over 71,000 bricks and took 185 hours to build.

CCCXI A Child's Life. As a Page Boy, young Arthur toils night and day at his duties which include helping Kay to win a joust tournament. I was originally going to use this for the Arthur category but figured it would also work for the Child's Life category. A wanted to keep things simple and focus on the main aspects of this particular scene from the movie. I had a good look at the scene and realised that there really isn't much in it apart from the joust and the tower with Merlin watching, so I kept it that way for the model. I could have littered the area with lots of details but decided against it, keeping it simple. Its all about the tower and the joust. :)
Welcome to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This version of Hogwarts is made of about 400,000 bricks and took 12 months to build. It is designed to be architecturally accurate and completely playable. It breaks into sections that pack into 40 large flat boxes or shelves.
