Here's my Lego fire department Urban Search & Rescue Task Force 3. It includes USAR 3 (front), Engine 3, and Squad 3. Not pictured are Medic 3, Truck 3 and Heavy Rescue 3. The Task Force concept and the USAR uniforms are based on the Los Angeles City Fire Department. Photos of the real firefighters can be seen here. www.flickr.com/photos/lafd/5431616657 The heavy rescue design is based on San Diego Fire Department's Pierce Urban Search & Rescue rigs. The design is 7-wide (8-wide if you count lights). It uses several Studs Not On Top techniques with bricks going upside down and every direction and is almost zero-studs showing. Custom chrome wheels and other parts were ordered through Bricklink.com. Rescue trucks like this one are basically giant toolboxes that carry hydraulic tools, saws, and other rescue equipment. Unlike a fire engine, they don't carry water or hoses. They respond to incidents like structural collapse, high-angle rescues, and vehicle accidents. I wanted to design a Lego City style Fire Station which fits to my already existing modular buildings. The Fire Station does fit one large vehicle, like in my case a 60002 Fire Truck, and a smaller (shorter)...

7945 Fire Station is a City set released in 2007. It includes a Fire Station containing the central station, control room, and an alarm room and two garages. Two different fire trucks are included along with four Fireman Minifigures. The set contains 600 pieces. This set was included in the Product Collections set 66255 City Super Pack and K5613 City Fire Station Collection. This set appeared in The Adventures of Clutch Powers. This Lego fire department excavator performs a variety of tasks include pulling down severely damaged structures, clearing mudslides, and assisting with debris removal in wildfires. It often responds with the Urban Search and Rescue team. The excavator arm and bucket has full articulation. Lego's hydraulic cylinders are paired with Lego tubing to provide the necessary grip on the connections. I also made use of Lego's new firefighter collectible minifig to proving arm striping and wrap-around leg striping to the minifigures' turnout gear. Tread design inspired by Flickr user Sheo. It was then moved to a private collector for safe-keep and display since Bricks & Cubes Café closed the outlet, till today. The Fire Brigade MOC is done using 2 sets of Lego 10196 and surplus with parts from Bricklink. This MOC will be tear down shortly, this blog post will served as a sweet memory for all the past good times.
