This is Angus. He is a one and a half year old full blooded yellow lab (so I am told) and just like my other dog Sammy, was a victim of our troubled economy. Sammy and I have been trying him out over the past week and it has gone well enough that we have decided to keep him. We weren't so sure at first because adding another dog is an adjustment and a big commitment. Sammy has had to learn to assert himself as he and Angus have been duking it out for second in command (I am the commander ;-). That's a new thing for Sammy and I am proud of how he is dealing with this new ball of bouncing energy. And as you can see, Angus is a leaper. He loves to jump and is quickly falling in love with the frisbee. Sammy tends to sit back and watch his antics and waits for Angus to get tired. He then challenges him to a good game of tug. Edit: No, not photoshopped. Anyone who knows me knows I am too lazy to spend time doing that. I did however tweak the exposure because the sky was blown and my boy was underexposed. I did eventually fix the chromatic aberration around his body when I decided to make a print for my wall. Whew, that was painful. (And I have started saving for a new wide angle lens ;) And to be honest, when I chimped the image after shooting it I was so shocked at his pose in the air, I actually let out a giggle. I even ran over to my friend who was painting the barn to show them and they giggled too :) Settings, for the curious: Shutter 1/800 Aperture f5.0 Focal Length 17mm ISO 800 No flash Manual Exposure Subject Distance 1.35 meters Raw Camera super low to the ground Back Button Focus
