A pictorial guide, with tip and tricks. Also finished examples and suggested placement of thread colors to get different patterns in the finished cord. We recommend starting with a different color for each of the 7 strands. This will give a colorful, tweedy effect for the cord - PLUS mistakes will not show much. Once you have the routine of moving the cords down pat, then move on to pattern cords - birds eye, houndstooth spiral, etc. More information and links on in our blog article here atranquilnook.blogspot.com/2010/10/hand-braided-cord-simp...

Lush forests glean with shades of green, gold. yellow and dozens of other garden tones that are incorporated into this exquisite necklace. There are approximately 1600 Rizo beads in over 20 colors handcrafted into this spiral necklace. The beads are Rizo (each the size of a grain of rice) and can be tricky to bead in just perfectly. The kumihimo design makes it into a round spiral, so this color placement can never be duplicated a pattern as it is a random assortment of garden colors. This necklace is complimented with a beautiful green and yellow Unicorn bead (Intricate hand blown borosilicate glass) with 4" of garden toned tassels. This 2021 design captures the essence of Aloha - and even better it is a perfect gift for a friend or loved one since this lei will last forever! These necklaces feel wonderful to wear and require little to almost no care by using a clean dry towel every few months to keep dust free and bright. As a beautiful glass beaded necklace lei each necklace is handmade on Maui and involves meticulous attention to detail while braiding. Akalei is Hawaiian for "bead reflections" which describes this unique necklace lei design style made only here on Maui. We reinterpret traditional Hawaiian Lei using a vast assortment of glass and natural beads, Japanese silk and synthetic fibers, and a wide variety of braiding techniques and inspirations from across the globe. This beautiful hand made lei was made using hundreds of glass Japanese seed beads on multiple cords that are woven together on a wooden marudai stand (in a kongo gumi braid pattern). The necklace is woven together using an ancient Japanese braiding technique called Kumihimo, a Japanese word for “gathered threads". This art form goes back hundreds of years as braids were made for use in armor for Japanese samurai warriors. In modern times these braids are designed as belts (obijime) that are worn as a belt with a kimono. It is my goal to provide you with a long lasting, beautiful piece of jewelry that you will enjoy wearing for years to come. I take great care in the construction of my pieces to ensure just that. Please note: colors may slightly differ from their appearance on your display, as it depends on your monitor settings.Send a message with questions or comments. Thanks for stopping by! Aloha Aku!

This Shambhala bracelet is a beginner's project, easy to make, fun to wear and quick to finish. Dressy, or casual, fashionably chic, pure Bling without the Ding. I made and sold many variations of shambhala bracelets before perfecting this version in the search for the perfect design. I ended up streamlining the stringing, the knotting process and coming up with my own design - at least one I had not seen anywhere else before. This item is a 8 page step by step tutorial with over 15 diagrams and photos available as an instant download. The instructions show the method, the knot and bead placement, and many tips to make this project professional. Two knots are used for this project, the square knot and the overhand knot. Instructions on how how to tie these knots are included in the tutorial. If you have not made one of these bracelet yet or want to learn my techniques, get the PDF instructions sold in this listing. I originally only offered the German pattern for this Mochila, but I was asked so often to write an english pattern as well. I have done this now, but please note that English is not my native language. I did my very best and hope that you can understand my English. This beautiful Mochila is not just a "crochet bag". It is crocheted in the original Wayuu technique and is so stable that it stands upright by itself. The adjustable shoulder strap can also be worn as a cross-body strap so that you have both hands free for important things while shopping or wherever you want to use your mochila. You will be envied for your mochila! This pattern is designed for those who already have experience with crocheting a mochila using the Wayuu technique. It is not a complete guide for the inexperienced. If you have little or no experience with crocheting mochilas and still want to crochet this bag, or if you find that your previous knowledge is not enough, write me. I will be happy to help you and I am sure that you will reach your aim. The pattern includes: Crochet script for the bottom (incl. representation of the placement of the increases) Crochet script for the side Weaving pattern for the shoulder strap Braiding pattern for the Kumihimo cord separate pattern for a crocheted shoulder strap (if you do not have a loom)

This pattern contains written instructions and chart for mosaic overlay crochet motif. It’s available in English only. The chart is created using two different colors. I used unmercerized but strong cotton thread 246 yards per 75 gr. Crochet hook №1.75. Any yarn and appropriately sized hook can be used to make this pattern but you will get a different size square. Acrylic yarns, cottons or a mixed fiber all will work well. Finished size from picot to picot 16.5 cm (approx. 6.5’’), weight — 22.5g. “Mainzu Tile” is made in 22 rounds, starting with a magic circle. Tile is crocheted in the round from the center and outward, using mosaic overlay crochet technique. The technique is not difficult, just pay close attention to the stitch placement in the chart. You will need to already be comfortable with the BLsc / FLdc technique of mosaic crochet worked from a chart and also foundation single crochet. Stitches used are (all in US terms): slip stitch, chain stitch, single crochet in back loop only, double crochet in front loop only. You can join as many motifs together as you want to create as large a blanket as you want or make a matching cushion cover, bag, coaster, use motif as a pocket…
