"Eir" A print of the original painting by Emily Balivet. A Giclée print on matte wrapped canvas with a protective coating, the print measures 16x20 and is stretched on a .75" frame. The print is signed, titled and dated on the back and ships flat. This is a print of the original painting by Emily Balivet, 2012. In Norse mythology, Eir (Old Norse "help, mercy") is a goddess and/or valkyrie associated with medical skill. She is known to be one of the handmaidens of Frigg, who is wife of Odin, the king of the gods. Eir is the healer of the other gods and goddesses. If they were ever sick or injured, Eir would heal and protect them. One of the things Eir uses to heal people is ritual involving a white tanned flower (called the "Eirflower" for this reason). She would only use this ritual if she really needed to. ~All prints are packaged professionally and shipped via Priority mail (within the US) ~Overseas shipping via USPS First Class International ~Shipping discounts on multiple purchases!
