Hold dere fast! Hold you horses! Here the pattern variety is maybe over the top, but I think the pillow became incredibly stylish. It resembles the Missoni dress I used as inspiration quite well, I think. Here are the three pillows I've made so far. You have to say that they brighten the livingroom, don't they? One pillow remains. I'm also making some textile for the table. It's quite difficult to decide how the tablecloth will be, maybe something neutral that binds the table and the sofas together. Then the table decorations can explode in colours. Inga Helene

Looking for a pattern that looks fabulous, blasts your stash and can be adaptable for other creative uses? Then today's your lucky day! This Missoni-esque pattern lends itself to many uses. The key to a successful outcome is to make sure you use yarns that are all the same weight and a needle that corresponds with it. Hand-dyes and multis give the pattern even more interest! Cast on with an even number of stitches and change the yarn color every row. My next application for this easy and wonderful pattern is a blanket. While in Lake Como this summer I visited a Missoni boutique in Bellagio and found a lovely throw using this type of woven stitch. Missoni priced theirs upwards of $900 Euros. Mine will be made from a closet full of stash. Love it! I find the lace effect, the way the decreases are worked, and the tapered shape give this a softer effect that is similar to more contemporary Missoni items. Works well with space-dyed, striping or handspun yarns. A very soothing knit - perfect for the busy Christmas season. Good for gifts, but also for keeping. ☻

Missoni's jumpsuit is crochet-knitted with shimmering metallic threads to enhance the brilliant white shade. It has a plunging neckline, an adjustable halterneck and wide flared legs.
An impressive yet easy to knit scarf in the style of a great Italian designer. The chevrons are worked with single increases and decreases – no knots in your fingers trying to knit complicated double decreases and no double increases where the stitches get tight and hard to work with… Material: C1 - Lang Yarns Mille Colori Baby, Colour 51 (2 balls) C2 - Lang Yarns Mille Colori Baby, Colour 52 (2 balls) (Or any self striping fingering weight / sock yarn where the colour changes are not too fast or slow.) I prefer to think of this as Missoni-esque rather than clown barf. I cast on 600 stitches, and knitted through the back loops at the beginning and end of every row leaving a short length of yarn. I then pulled the yarn tightly to create a self-fringe. I did one row only per colour (which took 6-7 yards of yarn). I ended up doing 82 rows and the scarf is just over 6 inches wide. It grew in blocking and is about 9 ft long, and wraps twice round my neck easily. You could probably go shorter. I mostly used Sundara Sock Yarn from the second Sundara Scrappy Scarf Swap with a few scraps of FSM, some Koigu and some Violet Green clown barf.
Missoni's top is crochet-knitted with signature zigzag stripes - sparkling metallic yarn highlights the pattern perfectly. It's designed for a loose fit, which is emphasized by wide, sweeping sleeves. Wear yours with the matching skirt and a pair of flat, strappy sandals.

If you’re still feeling battered and bruised from the whole Missoni for Target experience, you may want to take solace in a nice soothing knitting project. This is delightfully simple but an incredibly satisfying knit which I think ended up being a little Missoni-esque in flavour. As with so many other …
