I have designed the Moa Sweater together with adventurer, Moa Hundseid. We wanted to make something inspired by Norwegian sweaters and all the hardworking people who used them. The checkered pattern has been knitted in countless variations over the years, and this is our version. The jumper is knitted round and round before sewing and cutting up to the armholes and neck. The shoulders are knitted together before the sleeves are sewn in by hand. Then stitches are picked up along the neckline for the neck. Size: XS (S) M (L) XL (XXL) XXXL Gauge: 10 cm stranded knitting on needle 4 mm =22 stitches. (The needle size is only a guideline. If you get a gauge with more than the provided stitches you should switch to a bigger needle size. If you get a gauge with less than the provided stitches you should switch to a smaller needle size. It is smart to always make a swatch to check the gauge before starting on the garment, as everyone knits differently, and if you choose an alternative yarn it might behave differently). Yarn: 3-tråds from Rauma Yarns. The amount of yarn you need: Main colour: 350 (350) 400 (400) 450 (450) 500 g Pattern colour 1: 200 (200) 200 (200) 200 (250) 250 g Pattern colour 2: 100 g Pattern colour 3: 50 (100) 100 (100) 100 (100) 100 g Pattern colour 4: 50 g Pattern colour 5: 50 g Needles: Double pointed needles 2,5 and 4 mm Circular needle 40 and 80 cm= 2,5 and 4 mm Measurements XS (S) M (L) XL (XXL) XXXL (Women/Men) Sleeves: 48 (49) 50 (51) 52 (53) 54 cm/ 53 (54) 55 (56) 57 (58) 59 cm. This is a pattern for my Sunflower Drawstring Backpack, which includes a fabric lining section! It is detailed and includes many photos for those that are more visual learners! Pattern is at an advanced beginner/intermediate level. It leans a bit more towards intermediate as I do show an attach as you go method which may be challenging for advanced beginners - you can attach in a different/easier way if you wish! Pattern is written in US terms. Dimensions: Length is approx 15”, Width is approx 14.5"/15” (10.5" / 11" when closed). The fabric lining is shown with the use of a sewing machine, but it can be hand sewn as well - I give tips on how to do that. I showed how to do the lining in a straightforward/easy way for those who have little to no sewing experience - experienced sewers can use alternative methods if they wish. With all that said, the lining is entirely optional :)
This romantic cropped pullover with a round yoke and blouse-like balloon sleeves features a floral colour work pattern running around the yoke and along the hem. My Ravelry store is closed. You can find all of my old and new patterns on my own website: www.kulabradesign.com For specials and announcements, please check my FB page This sweater is knitted bottom up, everything is knitted in the round. There are just two tiny underarm seams that need to be sewn; other than that the sweater is seamless. With recommended gauge (28 rows X 24 st), this sweater measures approx 61 cm long and 41 cm wide in the bottom, which should fit sizes small to medium - up to 92 cm chest circumference (with some positive ease). The sleeves are quite long - 45 cm, simply because that’s how I like it; the pattern explains how to make them shorter if you want. I did some waist shaping, - that’s optional. As about yarns, the sweater can be knitted with fingering- or sport-weight. I used fingering-weight in the following amounts: 250 g of light green, 80 g of gark green, and 20 g of each: orange, white, and blue/green. For sport weight yarn amounts, multiply by 1.3. Please, don’t hesitate to ask me any questions you might have! I’d also like to hear your feedback. Happy knitting everyone! Thank you StacieKnits for your comments, I made some changes to the pattern.
Steeking (aka setting your knitting up to be cut, in order to turn a knitted-in-the-round piece into a flat piece, for example to open up the front of a cardigan) tends to scare otherwise bold and courageous people. It feels vaguely wrong to take a pair of scissors to your knitting.Really, it shouldn't. Honestly. It

Sweater not included Digital download only Design — The Abeline Pullover is a top-down colorwork sweater with autumnal & wintry motifs in the yoke. See the star flecked sky, pine trees, field of flowers, and transport your mind to a walk outside with your favorite hot drink in hand. Construction — The Abeline Pullover is worked top-down in the round, beginning with a rolled purl edge at the collar. The yoke is worked in stranded colorwork using 2 colors to create the motifs. The sleeves & body are separated by placing the sleeve stitches on hold while the body is worked in stockinette stitch with a ribbed hem and tubular bind off. The sleeve stitches are placed back on the needles, worked in stockinette stitch and finished with a ribbed cuff and tubular bind off, repeating for the other sleeve. This sweater is designed with 4-7” (10-18 cm) of positive ease in the body. It is loose fitting at the bust and drapes straight down through the body for a relaxed fit. The sleeves are less oversized with 1-2” of ease at the bicep. Try measuring your favorite sweater and compare. Feel free to substitute the rolled purl cast on or tubular bind off with other methods. The body & sleeves can be made longer/shorter - this will use more/less yarn. Supplies — 2 colors of Originally Lovely Pura 100% Superfine Merino (50g, 136yd/124m per ball), or similar DK yarn.
