I saw them on the news this morning, and decided to look up more information on Bhutan. Did you know that the phrase "Gross National Happiness" came out of Bhutan? In 1972 their king decided that for his country Gross National Happiness was a higher priority than Gross National Product. The four pillars of Gross National Happiness are: 1) promotion of sustainable development 2) preservation and promotion of cultural values 3) conservation of the natural environment 4) establishment of good governance Sounds like a pretty good basis for society, doesn't it?

In April 2016, King Jigme and Queen Jetsun, revealed their son name Prince Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck in a public ceremony. Desktop calendar images featuring Prince Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck have been released on the state's official website and social media pages Ahead of the ceremony in April 2016, the proud grandfather, His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo, was seen lovingly tidying his grandson Prince Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck’s mop of dark hair with a soft white brush.
