The cover is made from 100% recycled cotton with beautifully natural, deckled edges (not torn!) each piece has been made to size by hand in a paper mould. The inner pages are a thick, high quality 140gsm slightly textured cartridge paper. The books come in their own keepsake box with a bible paper lining which has fully archival qualities and is acid free to keep your book safe for many years to come. This is a completely customizable one of a kind keepsake box. This chest is my daughter's Time Capsule. It holds memorable items from her life. I came up with the idea for a Child's Time Capsule when I was hosting a baby shower. Everyone who came to the baby shower wrote a note to the baby. I wanted a box to hold the notes till the child was old enough to read them. From there the time capsule was born. I wrote a message for the front so the mom and child would know what to do with the box. The message reads: "I am a Time Capsule. I hold treasures from the past. In 2020, on your tenth birthday, you may open me up to see what I hold. Do not be tempted to peek before the time is right. After you have shared my treasures with others you may keep some of them out. Place the rest back inside with a few more new treasures from 2020. Now close me up for another decade and every ten years you may look inside and add something new." I have added more detail to the box since the first one I created. I now make the box after the child is born. The lid of the box has the child's full name. On one end of the box is the child's birth weight and length. On the opposite end is the birth day and time. In my daughter's Time Capsule, I have a Farmers Almanac from the year she was born, the local newspaper from the day she was born, some special clothes, and many more items. Her box is almost filled to the top. It is a perfect box for all those items that will not fit in a baby book. The chest will be finished with your choice of stain. The box measures 12 3/4" wide x 10 1/8" deep x 10 3/8" tall. It has brass studs along the arched top, metal straps at the corners, and a metal latch. The wording and font on the chest is completely up to you. The font in the picture above is Edwardian Script and Script MT Bold. The price includes a full name and the words "Time Capsule" on the lid, approximately 85 words on the front, and 8 words or a design on each end.
