When I first saw the stamp set Crafting Forever, I knew I’d be adding it to my stamp collection. I especially love the sentiment, Crafting Forever, Housework Whenever. That is SO me! Do you like to fish? I do. Hubby and I would love to get a boat so we can go salt water fishing like we used to. The skiff we used is just too small to get out in good fishing waters, but those floaters ain't cheap! My super duper "Queen of Scenes" DT sistah Kim Bell has given us a theme of "Use Kraft" for this week challenge at Mo's. For my card I started with a kraft base and used some great Simple Stories papers and some fun fluted cardboard to create the background for Mo's "Fishing" image. I have always loved this image. It's so perfect for a guy card and I finally colored it up. The sentiment is from Create with TLC. Hope you'll pop over to the DP2 blog and link up a card for the challenge. I think kraft is pretty much a staple in everybodys stash nowadays. Make sure you use a Mo image on your card. Did you see the brand new Royal Babies that Mo just added to the store in honor of the new prince. Too cute. I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges: Here Come the Boys--anything goes Allsorts--transport Stay tuned for the third sneak peek from TSG today and have a great one! I think the new "Giddy Up" set from TSG is just so darned tootin' fun! Had to play with some more of these fabulous stamps for the new challenge at There She Goes Stamps. This was a toughie for me. Our challenge theme is to case one of our Trendsetters. I'm terrible at casing but fairly decent at copying. LOL Here's the cute card from our fabby DT leader Jessie Rone that I chose to case. Now let me tell you, trying to choose one card to case from among this design team is pretty darned hard. The team is filled with awesome card makers. I settled on Jessie's cause her paper piercing caught my eye and I loved the fun use of the chevrons on her card. Here's her version and my inspiration. My colors are much more subdued and I used a totally different style of image, but I like how it turned out. We'd love to have you play along by casing one of our Trendsetters. Ha! Ha! Good luck just finding one. ☺ I'd like to enter this card into the Twisted Tuesday piercings with buttons or brads challenge and Marker Pops embellish with buttons challenge. Just a few more days left to get in on my blogaversary candy draw. Be blessed! Hi Everyone, Leandra here with some amazing new stamps from a brand new designer who we are thrilled to welcome to the PA family.....it's Tracy Scott... Tracy is amazing with paints and creates such bright and cheerful canvases, journal pages and doodled stuff. These stamps are typical of her fun style, and will be useful for many broader crafting activities too! So lets take a closer look at the actual stamps... I'll hand over now to Tracy who will introduce her new products, and share with you a few ideas. Enjoy and don't forget to leave us your comments!~ Leandra Hey there, Tracy here !!!.....I'm absolutely thrilled to share with you my first stamp release for PaperArtsy. When initially asked about designing some stamps my mind went into overdrive!! The possibilities were just endless but I knew very quickly that I wanted my first release to be stamps that I would want to use in my Art Journalling. I looked through some of my journals at the type of images I constantly drew on my pages and that became my starting point. I really hope that the stamps will be used as a true multi purpose tool and will be equally at home on a greetings card, scrapbook page, journal page or mixed media project. I hope you enjoy and I'd love to see what you do with the stamps xxx Project One: Wild and Free Card Step 1: using the Prima Confections watercolours, soak the watercolour paper with water and then let colours drip, spread, splatter and run on the paper to create a multi coloured background. Allow to dry fully. Step 2: stamp the various flower heads from the 'Gothic blooms' stamp set all over the background. Once stamped cut out and put to one sides. Step 3: stamp the 'wild and free' quote on a white square card blank and then arrange the coloured flowers on the card, gluing down in the centre allowing for the petals to be bent upwards. Step 4: for the finishing touches I used a white signo uniball pen to add some highlights to the flowers and used a black gel pen to draw a rough border around the outside of the card. Project Two: Retro Love Step 1: fill up a sheet of watercolour paper with various stamped images from ETS01 using an archival waterproof ink pad. Using the watercolour confections from Prima loosely paint in circles around the stamps and then fill in any remaining areas with a different colour. Step 2: Paint a 6x6" grey board sheet with black paint and put to one side to dry. Step 3: Cut a 4x4" square from your painted pattern and mount onto a 5x5 piece of white card. Around the edge of the white card draw a rough black and white border and then attach this to the black painted board. Step 4: draw the words for the title, I did this in pencil first so that I got the overlapping correct and then made permanent with black pen. I then cut this out ready to adhere to my project Project Three: Believe Step 1: using one of the Prima 2.5x4.25 inch watercolour pads, wet the paper with water and then using the Prima watercolour confections allow the colours to drip, blend and splatter into the paper to create your background. Allow to dry fully. Step 2: stamp part of the 'believe' stamp from stamp set ETS02 along the edge of the paper lining it up so the word is in the middle. Step 3: mount onto black card and with coloured pencils emphasise the colours and shading of the design. As a finishing touch I added some white gel pen and went over the design roughly with a black gel pen. My upcoming teaching gigs...
