I can't really say for sure. Anyways, this is 12"x16" printed on 100lb paper with a white border and black trim so framing looks nice. This is just a print, no frame included. Too many classroom icebreakers require students to take big social risks with people they barely know. Or they don't really help students get to know each other. Or they are just plain cheesy.

I used these Mona Lisa posters last year in my 6th grade classroom and they worked great! I decided to share my design here on Teachers Pay Teachers. I got the idea from a fellow teacher while doing my student teaching. The world famous painting, "Mona Lisa" by Leonardo Da Vinci is a great tool for teaching social cues, correct behavior, and listening skills to Elementary and Middle School students. How it Works: - On the first day of class, I show students a picture of the Mona Lisa and ask them to tell me what they see Mona Lisa doing (her eyes are looking ahead, her mouth is closed, her hands are in her lap, and she appears to be sitting down) - Next, I have a volunteer come up to the room to model how this works. I have the volunteer say, "Mona Lisa" and I (the teacher) sit down quietly with my hands to myself, mouth closed, and eyes looking at the volunteer. Students get a kick out of this. - Next, I have students practice with me 2-3 times until they understand that when I say, "Mona Lisa!", they are expected to start listening to what I have to say. Make sure to praise students who do their best Mona Lisa impression. - This is the kind of behavior reminder that takes practice. I found that if I use "Mona Lisa!" at least 3 times per class per day, they get it every time. I've even had kids use it outside of class! Using the Mona Lisa approach might seem a little tiresome at first, but it sure beats struggling to get student's attention on a daily basis. Most of my students really seemed to enjoy this technique because it was so different than their other classrooms (where many teaches might yell "Quiet!" or have to flick their lights on and off to get student's attention). Wouldn't it be nice to just say, "Mona Lisa!"? What Is Included in this Product: -Mona Lisa Poster in .pdf -Mona Lisa Poster in .jpeg -Mona Lisa Poster in .jpeg RED -Mona Lisa Poster in .jpeg BLUE -Mona Lisa Poster in .jpeg YELLOW -Mona Lisa Poster in .jpeg GREEN -Mona Lisa Poster in .jpeg BLACK/WHITE -Mona Lisa Poster in .jpeg sized to 11"x17" All posters except the 11"x17" poster are 2262px x 3245px in size which makes it excellent for large format printing. In the world of Zentangle® there are many beautiful patterns. There are the official Zentangle® patterns created by Rick and Maria. There are also many other wonderful patterns created by Certified Zentangle® Teachers and Zentangle® lovers. I've been toying with a pattern, myself, and would like to introduce it today. This pattern, FRAMZ, as I call it, didn't really have an inspiration per se. It is just something that I like to draw. After showing it to a few people, I have been told that it reminds them of frames you can buy, where there are a number of them joined together. I've seen a few sold by Umbra. Maybe that is where my inspiration came from and I didn't realize? Anyway, I hesitated for awhile to put the pattern out there. It has a bit of difficulty "playing" well with others....it is hard to find the right tangles to put with it on a string to keep the flow going. As a stand alone, it does create its own string, too, which I find quite fun. So, once I was able to create a few tiles with Framz and other tangles co-existing, I decided it was time to share in the fun. Here you have it, Framz! I think that the nice part about this pattern is that there is no set order for the shapes. Once you get started you're off to the races. So, there are really only two steps. Top tile patterns: Hollibaugh, Cubine and Framz Bottom tile patterns: Printemps, Nzeppel, Framz (with a few Printemps inside) Top Tile Patterns: Nzeppel, Cubine, Jetties, Knightsbridge, Printemps, Hibred variation Middle Tile Patterns: Printemps, Framz Bottom Tile Patterns: Printemps, Framz, Widgets The shading for this pattern is also fun. I've shaded in many different ways, as you can see. Let me know what you think of it. I'd love to see what you do with it, too!
