I don't think you'll be surprised to know that I haven't actually stuck to one documenting style in my Midori in the past few weeks. I've kept up with some weeks of my MTN diary, but nothing too concrete. If you follow my Instagram (@lettersinnovember), you would have seen the variety of pages / spreads done up but never really followed through. So instead of creating multiple posts regarding all the projects I've done in my MTN, here are some pictures and notes on some of them: In regards to my MTN diary, I've done just two extra pages since the last post (which isn't great, I know). I missed out most of September, and have only started it up again for design team projects. So don't be surprised if it dies out again right after: I started a Chronodex booklet when October began, needing something dated in my life for once. Initially, my (not too great) bookbinding abilities led me to put away my Chronodex booklet, but after letting it sit on my desk for a while, I decided to pick it up again and start in it. Because the booklet started from the end of June, I had half a booklet of empty pages to waste. So instead of keeping it blank, I decided to fill it with memories collected from my days in October, and here's a look at some of the pages I've created in it: When it comes to creating pages in regular notebooks, I've done some here and there with nothing absolute solid: I'm still in the process of creating a notebook for my trip to Paris in November, but because I haven't decided which notebook (grid / plain / kraft?!) to use yet, it's still in the works.

Edited October 2015: up to date folder location and new templates at my website: Morgan Le Fae's Trinkets Free templates page In july 2013 I discovered the Midori style travelers notebook. I immediately fell in love with the ease and flexibility of the system and as I was on the lookout for a way to organize myself and declutter my mind, I figured I would give it a go. I made a trial version using scrap leather and sizes derived from my own file folder booklets and then, of course, I was hooked. It's a great system and so very versatile. Next I made some versions from an old suitcase. A thrift store find, no longer fit for travel, but just right for a travelers notebook. Joined a facebook group with fellow TN enthousiasts and from there on it went downhill =). I made two for me, a Full sized TN and a Fieldnotes sized TN. I made one for my husband, one for my daughter and another for family projects. I started reading all I could find about this system and watched every YouTube video I could find. I found a lot of information about the Midori Travelers Notebook system. How to make my own version and how to use it. I also found lots of information about getting organized, time tracking and management, the GTD system and bullet journals. I tried to incorporate the things I liked into a system that would work for me. That would keep me on track, monitor my progress and help me set boundaries. Since I made this video I made a few more adaptations to my system and several other video's. You can find them on my YouTube Channel (MoniqueVMB) Learned some leather crafting and made some nice leather TN's in september 2013, as an anniversary present to my husband and myself. And as I had some leather left, I also made a smaller version. Since then I've realy started making these leather Traveler's Notebook covers. I got a few requests from people on the facebook group to make one for them (here are a few: Justin See (Blank and Write - The Blog) and Ray Blake (My life all in one place) and the ball kept on rolling. I now have an Etsy shop: Morgan Le Fae's Trinkets where I sell Traveler's Notebook covers in all different colours. Homedyed and crafted. So are the inserts I make for the Traveler's Notebooks and some leather accesories, which are also for sale in the etsy shop. I made several new inserts. At first I adapted some Philofaxy source files and files from Ray Blake, but have since been making and developing my own (source) files. So to make a long story short, I would like to share some of the files I make for the Midori Style Travelers Notebooks here. These files are free to download and use. You can adapt them any which way you like. They are not for commercial use, etc: Free printable templates for Midori style Traveler's Notebook inserts The files will be updated regularly, so be sure to check back on occasion. On my facebook page you can find more pictures and examples of the Traveler's Notebooks, inserts and templates I made. First day of May is a Labour Day holiday in some countries including mine, Malaysia. It is a public holiday and I have to labour to meet some deadlines in days to come. Working from Starbucks today while enjoying my favourite green tea frappacino and I decided to take a short break and draw on my Moleskine. Drawing myself drawing. See that guy in the picture? That’s one short and cute barista – my favourite (I won't disclose his name, though). See the sign ‘Happy Labouring’? It's just a joke – I am pulling my own leg. Really under stress lately (I'm not supposed to say it). @ Starbucks Coffee, 3Two Square, Petaling Jaya, Selangor Moleskine Pocket Diary, Lamy Safari Charcoal fountain pen (extra fine), Noodler’s Ink – Polar Black, Derwent Inktense watersoluble colored pencils

These green things are evil. I found them in many markets in Vietnam. 1 of every 10 is filled inside with 1kg of concentrated wasabi. Head explotes. Full hot spicy. I have to say the ones not spicy are delicious. I swear don't take one more. Time later I try another one and start again.
