A reading/study skills strategy: Predict/Locate/Add/Note 3. D.I.D.L.S. A technique for analyzing the style of a piece of literature: Diction (choice of words), Imagery, Details, Language, and Syntax (structure and patterns of sentences). 4. C.R.O.W.N. A closure technique that helps you reflect on the completed lesson: Communicate what you learned. Reaction. Offer one sentence that sums up what the whole lesson was about. D – Define the problem I – Ideas, brainstorm ideas C – Chose one of the ideas as a solution T – Try the solution A – Analyze, did the solution work?
