Anchor Bret Baier said the ex–White House aide’s testimony was “compelling.” But it became clear throughout Fox News’ programming that he was in the minority, with the likes of Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham continuing to carry Trump’s water.

Quilting can take many forms - from traditional quilts, to art quilts to modern quilts made by hand or machine or both with a variety of techniques.
“She had her lines down pat.” “A star witness no one ever heard of.” “Ordinarily she's very DRAB.”
A House Administration oversight panel wants Hutchinson to provide information about her book deal, as well as communications with former Rep. Liz Cheney and top Trump White House officials.

I started entering quilt shows in 2004 when I entered this quilt, Log Rhythm, in the Pioneer Museum Quilt Show in Colorado Springs, CO. I was so excited to win 2nd place for pieced quilts and Viewer's Choice that it inspired me to enter other shows. It is fun to see my quilts hanging next to famous quilter's quilts and I have learned so much from the judge's comments. "She's going to go down in history," Rep. Adam Kinzinger said on CNN's "State of the Union" Sunday. "She has a commitment to truth."
Former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson shocked the nation in June 2022 with live testimony about Donald Trump and his top officials' behavior leading up to the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. In an exclusive excerpt of her new memoir, 'Enough,' she explains the days immediately before and after the live hearing.
In recorded testimony presented last week, the former aide to ex-White House chief of staff Mark Meadows said a group of GOP lawmakers had sought pardons in the wake of the riot.
This is Judy Niemeyer's Bali Star pattern made by my fellow Prairie Quilt Guild member Betty. She did a beautiful job on the piecing. Quilting this nearly did me in - totally my own fault for coming up with a time-consuming quilting design that ate up thread at an alarming rate! I love pieced quilts, but quilting 56 of the same block is mind numbing. Now that it is finished I do think it looks great. It's quilted with Superior So Fine. Back to work on Gail's show quilt. Happy Easter!
The Jan. 6 committee's surprise hearing was filled with revelations about Trump's activity before and during the Capitol attack.
At last - some customer quilts! These are for Eddie, who makes huge quilts for her grandchildren. This one is the Eleanor Burns pattern called Night and Day for a grandson from Texas that wanted a red, white and blue quilt. Humongous pieced quilts like this are a bit tedious to do but look nice in the end. A non-huge quilt from Eddie - this one has all the properly trademarked embroidery for KSU in the school colors. I mentioned Ollie the cat a while back, a stray that I was trying to find a home for. He had so much personality and was neutered and declawed, I just couldn't stand to send him to the Humane Society. After taking care of him for 3-4 months and getting very attached to him, a friend found someone that was just moving into a new house and wanted a cat to adopt. Ollie really lucked in to a wonderful home. They sent me this picture of him relaxing as they unpacked. Does he look comfortable and happy or what? I nice ending to that stray cat story.
I went to a quilt show Saturday that was put on by the local quilt guild and saw many beautiful specimens, but ONE quilt was phenomenal and that is the one I photographed for you. Let me just say right off, I was attracted to this quilt like there was a force pulling me to it--I'm not kidding! My reaction stunned me and I am still trying to figure out why. Here is the beauty in full repose... The machine quilting was the best I've ever seen, and the quilt top was hand-appliqued, with the exception of the triangle inner border. Both of these components are very time- consuming, especially, when done at this level of expertise. The next few photos will show the detail of the quilting, but first notice the symmetry of the piece... If you need a point of reference in the quilt, this section is at the edge of the flower, just above the inner border on the right side. This section is toward the very bottom of the quilt, below that inner border. Those scrolls are so delicate and perfect and the stippling is the smallest I ever seen. Did you know that in stippling no lines are ever allowed to cross? Think about that for a bit... This section is again inside the inner border on the left side. Concentric circles within the quilting of another pattern...brilliant! This section is in the middle of the entire piece, below the center flower. Have you ever seen such quality in a quilt? I just wanted to take this prize home and cherish it forever. I seriously think I could stare at it for an extremely long time--like years--and appreciate all of the work and thought that created it. I would give thanks daily to have a quilt of this quality in my collection (which I still have not shown you, but I will one day!). I especially wanted to give proper credit to the hands, time and talent that gave my heart such joy. Who knew that an Aunt bringing a young girl a silver thimble from Mexico would plant the seeds of such beauty. Thank you Aunt Dolores for inspiring such talent and thank you Ann McColey for nurturing your talent and sharing it and thank you Jan Hutchison for such exquisite quilting. If this quilt ever needs a home, I will decorate a room around it! Thanks for reading and enjoying such things of beauty with me. I was so excited to write this post and show you this quilt. I appreciate each of you more than you know. The New York Times revealed in a report on Cassidy Hutchinson that since she testified publicly to the House Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on Congress, she has been in hiding. Since the start of Hutchinson's cooperation, she has been in hiding with her family and security detail. ...
Donald Trump’s determination to lead his armed followers to march on the Capitol demonstrates the state of mind necessary to prove crimes such as incitement and obstruction.
