"It's the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)" re-imagines the classic 1986 R.E.M. song as a mid-century science-for-kids volume, based on the cover for Walt Disney's "Story of the Atom" book of 1956. This is a fine art giclee print on acid free, 330gsm, 100% cotton rag paper with a bright smooth finish. Watermark does not appear on finished print. Prints come in four sizes: 8.5x11, 11x17, 18x24 and 24x36. Please be aware that all prints feature a white border to help with framing your item. Depending on which size print you order, this border may be wider on the top and bottom than on the sides. I recommended that you wait until you have your print in hand before you shop for a frame.

It’s seemed that in this election cycle, the only thing that both sides can agree upon is that if their candidate is not chosen, it will be the end of our country as we know and love it. We here at Off the Shelf, in the spirit of unity, would like to offer a reminder that while things might seem bleak, they could be much, much worse (though we could probably learn a thing or two). Here is a list of our favorite books in which politics is the last thing on people’s minds, to take it off yours, too.

A lot of you were waiting for this preview to come. The devil in me wanted it to be the last The CW pilot I give a look at. Just to build the tension. And also because I’m not a big DC fan so it’s not really my priority. Before delving into it, let me tell you the young-skewing network has a bit of a situation here. Their CBS produced-pilot are weak, especially Valor and Dynasty, while Insatiable is kinda good but a wild card. In the meantime, the Warner Bros. pilots are all strong possibilities, with family dramedy Life Sentence an exciting one (and a personal favorite), Searchers an ambitious option and Black Lightning looking like a no-brainer for obvious reasons. The problem is the network won’t be able –in theory though- to pick-up only WB pilots since it is co-own by CBS. So which one will have to go? The suspense is already killing me.
