Nate's 4 yr old Wall-E Themed Birthday Party For my son's 4 yr old birthday, it had to be Wall-E themed! A few weeks earlier we did our Wall-E themed birthday shoot to go with his party and these photos were great to hang on a ribbon on the wall for everyone to see. Wall-E birthday things are very hard to find. They are not in stores but you can find some things online. Thanks to Pinterest, I was able to make most of these decorations.So, if you are planning a Wall-E party for your little one, here's some ideas... You can find rolls of banner paper at your local craft store. The yellow and turquoise pots were in the $1 bin at Walmart and made great decorations that the kids could take home with them. These photos were taken a couple of weeks before for his 4 yr old shoot. We incorporated his Wall-e toys and a shirt we had made at a beach vendor in Myrtle Beach as well as a small cake with the number 4 candle on it. Wall-E masks For the masks, I printed these out on cardstock and cut them out and then bough a packet of sticks in the Walmart craft section for $1.99 and then taped them to the backside of the mask to use for great photos! Yellow bucket in the $1 bin at Target. Bithday card by my 7 yr old neice, Maddy. Robot Wall-E from Santa Clause, and I think he got it from Toys R Us, but I'm pretty sure you can find them on Ebay now. Copyright Amber S. I. Am. Exhausted. Now, I'm going to warn you up front, this is going to be a long post, but I have so many fabulous photos I have to share them all!!
OMG. I'm sooo tired. Exhausted. But at least, it's over! All the big rush is OVER! It was my man's birthday the last week of august, the back-to-school for my big girl (she just started kindergarten), her birthday (a family supper last weekend, her real birthday on friday and the kids birthday party yesterday) and on top of that, she had a big allergic reaction on thursday at school, she got bite by a mosquito on her cheek and it got so puffy and swollen, the school got scared and called me. I had to go to the doctor rush rush that evening to get a prescription for EPIPEN and for Benadryl so they can have the authority to do the administration of the medecine in case it happens again. But now she's ok :) It was a crazy 2 weeks to be honest. It was really hard to deal with all the new routine, on top of all the birthdays. Now it's OVER and I can BREATHE! I was really proud of all the stuff I did for my daughter's 5th birthday party! It took a lot of time, but I was really happy with the result! Same with my daughters! A lot of DIY (thanks Pinterest) but wow it was worth it! And a big big thank you to my friend Genevieve who helped me a lot to do the decorations :) Here's a few pictures ! CREEPER TOSS This one is my favorite DIY project! I saw it on Pinterest, I found it was really cool! I also created those little pockets with red and white felt, rice, glue gun and a black Sharpie. The green panel I bought it at Michael's for like 8$ CDN, it was already folded like that. BALLOONS : I did also a lot of balloons ... I used colored balloons, differents ducktape colors (bought at Michael's, pretty expensive to be honest, it was like 7 or 8$ per roll... I had to buy 3! I also bought some crepe streamers for the arms for about 1-2$ per roll (used that also for other stuffs!) Here's Reuben the pig and an Enderman : Here's a CREEPER GASP My favorite one, a Mooshroom ! The Spider (and a little black cardboard with ducktape for the eyes, just for a little Enderman face) GIFT BAGS For the gift bags, I bought/made : - See through gift bags at Walmart (2$ for the pack), - 7 boxes Minecraft Blind Box Serie 3 at Toys r Us for about 4$ each, - 7 Hershey's chocolate bar at the dollar store and I printed some Chocolate Bar Wrapper here. Just had to glue them on the chocolate bar! The kids were so excited to eat Minecraft Chocolate Bar ;) - Minecraft Bookmarks that I printed here. I bought some crafting stuff to do the strings for 2$ at Walmart. - "Thank You For Coming" paper that I got here So it came up max 5-6$ per bag, thats pretty good I find. Previous birthdays I was going to the dollar store, but it always end up costing at least 10$ per bag in order to have something decent. The kids seems really happy ! The food table I had so much fun doing this! I had a hard time finding some nice FREE printable food labels.. They were either expensive, of just not really nice... I could have done them myself, but I didn't had the time to do it this time. I found some really nice one on another Blog (Fiveinsix). She made them herself and shared them on her blog, so thank you very much! I made 2-3 myself for the one that was missing.. The only thing I didn't do, it's the cupcakes and the cake. I have zero talent so thank you very much to Christine-et-gourmantines.com for those nice goodies :) I bought all the things at Bulk Barn and the grocery store. The diamond sword were really popular! For the grass, my mom made some brownies with chocolate frosting with food coloring. NETHER PORTAL I think this one was the more popular with the kids. It was super easy and cheap to do! I got the idea from Pinterest, I just bought 2 different purple crepe streamers and a black one, and I used construction paper for the NETHER banner. Happy Birthday Banner I also found a nice free printable banner here. I printed the letters, cut them and glue them on a thin cardboard (the paper where rolling up, so I had to find something more strong) and I used some green rope and a glue gun to fix the banner. Pretty simple! OTHER DECORATIONS I also put other regular decorations, I used a lot of crepe streamers in the Minecraft color theme. * Sorry for the bad lighting for the one on the window! ;) * And now, for the games! I had a lot of fun to do that too! Minecraft Mask I bought a big black cardboard (same one as the Creeper Toss!) and cut both side in 3 (it was making perfect squares) for a total of 6. I also bought a pack of wood sticks at Walmart (I used the glue gun to fix the stick on the back of the cardboard) *I used the middle of the cardboard to avoid any waste, to do the Enderman, the face next to the spider before* I just used a knife to do 2 holes for the eyes. I also cut a lot of little squares construction papers of differents colors and put them in differents bowls. I cut them the size for a perfect fit 8x8 like the template. I bought 6 small glue stick and a pack of wood sticks at Walmart. I made a table just for that, and it was a big hit! I printed the templates for the faces (I can't find the website, I'm sorry! But it can easily be found on google images for all the faces you want!) And for the last game... The Little Piggy! It was also a big hit !! Easy to make (just research pictures on Google Image, or just look at mine hehe!) and really fun! I used felt and glue! Super fun for the kids!

Below are loads of ideas for hosting a fabulous Minecraft themed birthday party! Including games, activities and decorations. All of these are my own creations that I made for my son's birthday party. I have made my templates available free for you to download - I just ask that you do not use these for resale. Minecraft Treasure Hunt For this extremely exciting Minecraft treasure hunt, you will need: Minecraft papercraft blocks, a large sheet of cardboard, blu-tack and a printer to print off my downloadable minecraft treasure hunt template PDF. Instructions: Download and print off the template. Use the first 5 pages to assemble your treasure hunt board as pictured above. It's good to stick this onto a nice big sheet of cardboard (from an old cardboard box). Next, cut out the square clues (on the white background). I find it's handy to laminate the clues so that the blu-tack can stick on nicely (also good if you want to re-use them). Stick each clue onto a Minecraft block (or other suitable objects), then hide the blocks all around your garden or party venue. At the blow of a whistle, release the children!! They will then run around frantically searching for the blocks. Once they find one, they must bring it up to the board, detach the clue, then stick it onto the relevant place on the treasure hunt board. Once all clues are in place, the game is complete. This is a real team effort game - with no winners or losers, so it's perfect for those party girls and boys that have a hard time not winning on their birthday!! Pin The Tail on the Pig All you need for this simple game, is a large piece of cardboard for the back, a few squares of pink, white and black paper, a bit of card for the curly tail, and a blindfold! For the sign, I downloaded the Minecrafter font from Dafont.com. In the background, you'll see my "nether portal" made from purple and black crepe paper strips. Minecraft Pixel Art Craft Activity For this very simple Minecraft craft activity You will need: Self-adhesive foam mosaic squares, and, my downloadable printable Minecraft Pixel Art Template PDF. This is a great activity for those children that are a little bit shy or just need to calm down a bit!! Use the sticky squares to create mosaic pixel flowers or Minecraft objects. This is something they can take home too! Creeper Target Practice Game! This is a very simple game that you can use with NERF guns, balls, or beanbags. Put a marker on the ground where the children must stand behind, then throw your ammunition into the holes. Each hole scores a different amount of points. Have a practice and make sure it's not too difficult. The holes will need to be quite big for younger children. How to make a Creeper: We used one very large old cardboard box, with a Minecraft Box Creeper Head on top. We stuck multi-coloured green squares all over it, then cut out the holes and added points. Very simple! Make your own Minecraft Crafting Table This crafting table is mostly just for decoration, but it also acted as a wonderful surface for playing the official Minecraft Card Game on. What you will need: one large square cardboard box, brown electrical tape, white electrical tape Minecraft Brewing Stand This was just a fun little activity for those kids that love bubbles! Here's my downloadable printable template for Minecraft potion labels PDF template. Just cut them out and stick around mini bottles of bubbles. I then bought some large bubble wands, and duct taped then around a tree (this stops them from spilling the bubble juice everywhere! Genius idea!) Minecraft Happy Birthday Bunting This bunting looks fantastic at any Minecraft birthday party. Here's my Minecraft Bunting downloadable PDF template for you. BEWARE: this uses up a lot of printer ink so could be quite expensive to print!! Nether Portal I made this nether portal out of purple, white and black crepe paper streamers and positioned it over the door. A really great decoration indoors or outdoors. I made the sign using the Minecrafter font downloaded from Dafont.com. Minecraft Flowers I bought a load of artificial flowers from IKEA, including sunflowers, roses, tulips and lots of other flowers that resembled those in Minecraft, and "planted" them on the lawn. A really simple decoration. You might also notice in the picture an inflatable pickaxe - which the children had a lot of fun with! TNT Birthday Cake Red Velvet Minecraft TNT birthday cake decorated with buttercream and a little black fondant for the wires and lettering. Very easy to make as long as you have square cake tins and a good piping nozzle! Of course we had an fountain cake firework instead of candles!! Slime Jelly Blocks I'll be honest - none of the kids actually wanted to eat these - but they certainly squealed over them! Very simple to make. Use lime green jelly using half the water suggested on the packet, pour into a square tin lined with clingfilm, add in halved grapes and leave to set in the fridge. When firm, remove and slice into squares with a sharp knife. Minecraft Party Food Table Below are loads of ideas for your Minecraft party food! I bought 3 table cloths - light green, dark green & brown, then cut squares out so that it resembled Minecraft grass. I decorated the table with Minecraft papercraft blocks, square green paper plates, and made food labels. Like the food labels? I've made 12 downloadable and printable minecraft food labels here. Good luck trying to find food that matches them!
