When I saw a man in the temple with tattoos, I wondered what it would be like if our internal struggles were visible like tattoos on the skin?
Much has been written about handling anger but the Bible doesn't call us to control sinful anger. It calls us to something much deeper.

To live with change, to optimize change, you need principles that don't change. I cannot fully describe the respect and reverence I have for every person who has contributed a story, for their willingness to share their inward struggles to live by universal and self-evident principles. -- Stephen R. Covey Featuring the Author In the ten years since its publication, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People has become a worldwide phenomenon, with more than twelve million readers in thirty-two languages. The principles it teaches are more relevant than ever in today's uncertain world. Living The 7 Habits: Stories of Courage and Inspiration captures the essence of people's real-life experiences, applying proven principles to help them solve their problems and overcome challenges. In this uplifting and riveting collection of stories, listeners will find wonderful examples of hope and encouragement as they are touched by the words of real people and their experiences of change -- change that got them through difficult times; change that solved family crises; change that mended broken relationships; change that turned their businesses around; change that influenced entire communities. The listener's understanding is enhanced by the personal commentary and added insights of Dr. Stephen R. Covey, as he explains how the application of his principles aided each situation. Whether you have read his previous works or not, these touching and powerful stories will enthrall and inspire you with an energizing recognition of your own freedom, potential, and power.
In this image of the desert the traveler is preoccupied—not with their progress upward or inward but with advancing in love toward their destination, often in darkness and struggle, but also as God wills resting in oases of light and peace.
Some time ago, I began wondering what the point of life was. Looking inward was something I struggled with, and I didn’t feel well supported. When I ...

Rather than working from the center out, as in a traditional mandala, this is worked from the outside in. Used as a tool for meditation, the process of working inward invites you to do some introspection. Look inside yourself, see your struggles and your strengths, find your path. The meditation can be as difficult as the actual crochet work. I found this to be very healing when I created it. I debated about including an explanation of what each round symbolized for me, but we are all different; with different histories and experiences, different needs and desires, different failures and successes. I encourage you to find your own meanings while making this. As each row goes further toward the center, look deeper within yourself, and you may hear your own heart speaking to you. This can be worked in anywhere from 1-19 different colors, as desired. I used 10 colors, and wrote the pattern indication which color I used for each row. In addition to the yarn and hook, you will need a 5 inch metal craft ring, scissors, tapestry needle, and (optional) super glue. Unfortunately, I did not measure the amount of yarn used in each round, nor the gauge required. However, pictures are included for (nearly) every round, and you can compare with your piece to see if it is matching up. Basic stitches and terms (slst, ch, sc, hdc, dc, tr, dtr, FO) are not explained within the pattern. Basic knowledge of the stitches is required. There are a few rows that are slightly complicated, owing mostly to the lack of flexibility of the piece since you are working off a metal ring.
