A little piece of wearable art - use this boro inspired patch for visible mending or simply to add texture and interest - you could apply it to jackets, bags, jeans and trousers, anywhere you want to add some rustic charm. Edges are unfinished and will fray further depending on how you decide to affix it. Fabrics used are all reclaimed offcuts on a denim base, fabrics may include linen, cotton and polycotton mixes. Patch measures approx 14 cm by 9 cm. I ONLY USE AUTHENTIC SASHIKO THREAD. This thread has a rougher finish than normal embroidery thread and over time with washing and wearing will settle in and meld with the fabric, it should add strength to the fabrics instead of simply adding decoration. I recommend hand washing this patch although before listing my patches for sale I wash them several times on a normal wash cycle to ensure they will retain their structural integrity - it's very important to me that these are sturdy patches that are useful as well as beautiful.
