This December marked the 14th annual Post-It Show held by Los Angeles-based gallery Giant Robot. Each year the exhibition gathers thousands of scaled down artworks from emerging and established artists, and sells each one of the 3 x 3 inch pieces for $25. I am an artist. Since I was little, I've always enjoyed expressing my creativity in a multitude of ways. From stop-motion to drawing, I consider myself skilled in artistic expression. However, a field I had not explored was digital art. I have done traditional art my whole life. So I figured "Why not try something new?" Their work is a celebration of identity, resilience, and joy, and through their poetry and printing workshops they seek to inspire the joy of creation in others. They are the organizer of Keep Colorado Springs Queer, an award-winning open mic by and for the queer community of Colorado Springs. In January 2017 he and Idris Goodwin released the book “Inauguration,” winner of the Pikes Peak Arts Council 2017 award for Best Publication, which celebrated resilience in the midst of the current political climate. In summer of 2017 he competed and won Capturing Fire, the national queer slam tournament.
