*press sample Hello Society Sisters! Are you ready for Spring collections to start rolling in? I didn't know I was until I saw this one! I am totally in love with the color palette and the mood it evokes. These still come with the normal skinny Zoya brush but I did try a couple with the new stand alone Z-Wide brush. Let's take a look.. Introducing INNOCENCE, the newest collection by Zoya for Spring 2019 that is evocative of nature and the transitions from Winter to Summer. Complete with its own thunderstorm in the color Theo, this collection is stormy and subtle, yet features a touch of brightness and softness. Birch is a pale greige lavender creme. It's such a chic shade and a perfect Winter to Spring transition shade. I used the Z-Wide brush and it applied pretty evenly. Shown is two coats plus top coat. Agnes is a warm toned muted blush nude creme. I used the Z-Wide brush and it applied pretty evenly. Shown is two coats plus top coat. Aire is a deep, dusty periwinkle blue creme. This is a ONE COATER and is my favorite of the collection! I still applied two coats for a smoother look. Shown with top coat. Evette is a soft grape creme. Another really pretty shade with a nice formula. Shown is two coats plus top coat. Fern is a grey sage with a warm pearl shimmer. The shimmer isn't very pronounced but adds a touch of interest to it. Shown is two coats plus top coat. Theo is a stormy grey with subtle texture, blue/pink iridescent flecks, silver flakie shards, and tiny black glitters. "Like a spring thunderstorm in the night." I really like what Zoya was going for here, although I'm not a big fan of the result. It's not my style but I can see people really liking this unique shade. Shown is two thick-ish coats plus top coat. The Innocence collection is available for preorder at zoya.com through February 4th. Purchase the 6-piece collection and receive 6 Z-Wide brushes, a Remove + Big Flipper, and a two extra full size Zoya favorites- Jack and Ruthie. After Feb. 4th they will be sold individually.

*press samples* Hi guys! Happy Saturday-I hope your weekend is going well so far. It's been raining cats and dogs here this week, and today is no different. So.much.rain. Other than that I've just been busy at work. Another pen show is coming up soon so I'll be working 7 days straight. Tonight I've got the Zoya spring offering which is a 6-piece collection featuring 4 cremes, 1 pearlescent shade, and one flakie glitter (more on that soon). Truth be told, my favorite polishes from Zoya tend to be their spring and fall collections. That's not to say I dislike their summer and winter sets at all. Zoya has been my go-to mainstream brand for years, and that hasn't changed. Instead of doing the same reds and pinks (I'm looking at you, OPI), they are continually bringing fresh colors and finishes. Shall we dive in? Zoya Agnes (2 coats) Up first is Agnes which is a blush nude creme that leans on the warmer side which works well for my skintone. Some shades like these tend to be streaky, but this one is smooth and opaque in 2 coats. Zoya Aire (2 coats) Aire is one of the 2 brighter shades from the collection, and is a medium dusty blue creme. Zoya calls this a periwinkle, but I find it to be too dark and too blue for that, personally. Either way, this is one of my top picks for the set. This one is also extremely pigmented and barely needed the second coat. I had no issue with it staining my nails, but be careful removing this one so you don't smear it all over your cuticles because it could stain a little. Zoya Birch (2 coats) Birch is another soft shade and is one of those shades that leans somewhere between a lavender and grey creme. And yes, this is another top pick for me! There's just something about these extremely light and modern shades that draws me in. And there was no chalkiness when applying this one either. This is just 2 easy coats for my photos. Zoya Evette (2 coats) Calling all purple lovers! Evette is a grape purple creme with some pink undertones. Purple's not my favorite color, but this one is really nice. It had a nice formula and needed just 2 coats for full opacity. Zoya Fern (2 coats) FERN! Oh I love Fern. It's a dusty sage green base with a gold pearlescent finish. The shimmer is slight on the nail, so don't expect it to be in your face. I feel like a broken record, but this applied flawlessly in just 2 coats. Zoya Theo (2 coats) I need to give props to Zoya for making Theo. This is one of the most indie-like polishes that a mainstream has come out with. It's a charcoal grey base with large silver flakes, small black glitters, and blue iridescent flakes. You have to be careful not to let the silver flakes stick off the edge of the nail because they're sharp. When I was unboxing the set, I actually said, "Good job, Zoya!" when I pulled this one out. While it's not a top pick, I definitely appreciate them coming out with this. Again, Aire, Birch, and Fern are my top picks for the collection, but I'm really digging the collection on the whole. The Earth Day promotion will be upon us before you know it, so keep these in mind. Zoya polishes retail for $10 and you can find out more about them on their website, Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram pages. Keep an eye out for them in your local Ulta store if you want to see the bottles in person before you buy. *These polishes were provided by the company or PR representative.
