​Ci è voluto molto tempo, perchè ho dovuto fare una transizione dalla pittura (fin troppo libera) all'illustrazione, che è legata a un testo, non è fine a se stessa diciamo. Non avevo alcuna fiducia nelle mie capacità e infatti agli inizi non avevo nessuna (o pochissima) identità propria. ci sono voluti anni di delusioni e studio personale per arrivare a fare questo lavoro con più libertà.
