I wanted to do something with a little bit more "world building" feeling, so here is another original character! I call her the fishergal, but I'm not sure that's exactly accurate. I guess I think of her more of a general odd-job adventurer that happens to live in a fishing town. ♥ Hope you enjoy, I had a lot of fun with this background! SPECS • Available in 5x7 or 11x14 • The 11x14 is NOT borderless, it's image size is roughly 8.5x11 printed in the center of a 11x14 print. • Note that colors and brightness may vary by monitor. I print at home and do as much testing as I can to achieve the desired colors printing in CMYK. SHIPPING • 5x7 : Ship in flat with bubblewrap and sturdy backing in cellophane • 11x14 : Ship in cardboard tube with cellophane NOTE: If you order an 11x14 print with a 5x7, the 5x7 will be by default rolled in the tube alongside it. They should unroll to flat after a day pressed in a book, or if you roll them the opposite direction. If you need them separated, please order them individually.
Illustrator and amateur naturalist Kelsey Oseid is focused on detailing the natural world, illustrating the animal kingdom’s many classes and orders on posters created with watercolor and gouache. The posters highlight more known orders such as Carnivora and Rodentia, while also showcasing the diversity of animals in lesser known orders like the Chondrichthyes and Artiodactyla. Oseid numerically labels the more common names of each animal in the footer of her works, pointing out where one can find the capybara, naked mole rat, and hammerhead shark. More
This extraordinarily rare and important painting, for the cover of the December, 1952 issue of "American Manhood" magazine, depicts a fallen scuba diver, pinned down by the wreckage of a plane or ship, being rescued by another diver. The painting is a superb example of narrative illustration art that attests to the 1950s interest in fantasy, body-building and of course the recent World War. It was "dedicated to the underwater demolition squads of the United States Navy whose heroic labours cleared the Invasion Beaches for the Armies of Democracy." The painter was Peter Poulton, who did a number of covers for fantasy, adventure and science fiction magazines starting in the 1930s, including "Future Science Fiction," "Startling Stories" and "Mr. America." The painting is accompanied by an original copy of "American Manhood" magazine featuring this image on the cover. The painting is oil on canvas board.
