I have made a lot of different handouts for young women and now missionary work (find here). Lately, I have received a lot of requests for primary printables. Of course I was thrilled to create some! When I was serving in the primary, I found a love for the primary songs and decided to use them as my inspiration for these printables. Hope that you are able to use them!
I had a dryer box in my garage (although you could probably go to a store and get one) and I made a temple with it. I only used two sides because if turned diagonal that's all you see. This is how I made it: To start I cut down one corner so I could work on the inside of the box so you couldn't see writing through the paper and so it could be closed and hidden. On the front I taped the flap stiff and cut three "spires" (triangles) into it. On the front I taped 9 pieces of 1/2 sheet construction paper. On the side I taped 12 pieces of 1/4 sheet construction paper. Then I brushed glue all around the colored paper and glued on white easel paper (or you could used butcher paper). I then used a craft knife to cut windows over the craft paper so they could be opened. I finished off by attaching a printout of angel moroni. It was great! and it only took about an hour to do. Then in Junior primary (after 2-3 action songs) we talked about temples and about the way we feel when we are close to or inside the temple. I then asked the teachers to help me walk the kids out one door of the primary room and come back in another. I told the kids that when we walked back in that we were going to pretend we came into the temple. I lowered my voice and told them that when they came in I would use my temple voice because it is so important to keep reverent in the temple, so they would need to stay quiet so they can hear me. When they went out, I brought out my temple and set up. The spirit was very strong when they came in and then we learned ILTSTT. As they sang (beautifully I might add), the spirit continued and I had many opportunities to point out the way the spirit feels. Best of all, the kids were reverent the ENTIRE TIME!! At the end in the 9 front windows I had cards with numbers on them that corresponded to songs to sing. Only reverent songs because we were in the temple! In Senior I had the temple out from the start to learn the second verse to ILTSTT. Then played a game with the 12 side windows. Each had a card with aphrase in it. Like "in my early years" for Families Can Be Together Forever. If they could guess on first try they got 2 points. If they couldn't the opposing team got a shot. If they couldn't then my fantastic pianist would play 4-5 notes. Then if they guessed it, it was only 1 point. It was fun. Sometimes it is not so successful, so when you're inspired and it works it feels great!!!

Get excited about Bible stories with this easy to follow, 60-90 minute lesson plan on Jesus in the Temple! This lesson plan is mapped out especially for PRE-K: AGES 3-5 YRS OLD and is slightly more in depth than the toddler version. It's a perfect fit for Sunday School teachers, homeschool, Christian parents, and Christian School Teachers! >>Get this lesson in a Bible unit with other lessons!<< In this lesson plan, you'll get: Easy to follow Teacher Directions for a 60-90 minute class time. A Colorful Full-Sized Teacher/Class Book A Student Black/White version of the class book Dot Marker (or Finger Paint) Mazes (2 levels to choose from) Coloring Sheet Boy Jesus Hide-n-Seek Game Story Puppets in both Color & Black/White Make sure you take a look at the thumbnails to get an idea of what is included in this download before purchasing! (Disclaimer: Pre-K coloring won't look as nice as the thumbnails - Wink!) *Special Note* Much prayer is spent before making each Bible lesson in my store. My goal is to retell each Bible story in a way that helps kids of all ages understand God's Word while also meeting them where they're at and building their language and reading skills. My prayer is that God will help me simplify each story for these younger loves without taking away from it. It's not always easy to choose what sentences go into my Bible books. Bible stories, and even just the words/names alone, can sometimes be difficult to put into a book for a young reader. As you read and use these books with your students, if you come across wording or pieces of the story that you feel might need a little more attention, rewording, or editing, please know I would love to hear your thoughts through email. Hoping you and your students love these books as you learn and grow in God's word! Don't forget to leave a review. I hope you are extremely satisfied! What a wonderful SUNDAY!!! The KIDDOS were in a GREAT mood. I love it when they all arrive early/on time and have seemed to have had a good nights rest. Our lesson this week was about King Solomon building the Temple. This was a interesting lesson to teach 4-7 year olds. They really seemed to GET the fact that GOD needed a PERMANENT place for the Hebrews to come and offer sacrifices and worship HIM. To set up the story, I reviewed the Tabernacle....talking about the fact that it was a PORTABLE TENT. We reminded ourselves of all the vessels that were in the Tabernacle and the purpose for those vessels. I was THRILLED at how much the remembered. I was really excited when I asked if any of the KIDDOS remembered what was in the Ark of The Covenant. And all of the KIDDOS were ready to tell me. We listed them quickly: 10 Commandments, Aaron's Rod that had budded and a Pot of Manna. I really am happy when the KIDDOS remember the "facts" from past lessons. We filled in our Who? What? When? Where? and Why? Chart. The KIDDOS really used their listening skills today. They were able to answer all of the Interrogative Questions. I was thrilled!!!! Makes me a happy teacher when the KIDDOS can answer all of these IMPORTANT questions! I used 3D Visuals for this lesson. I had the KIDDOS gather around this table and inspect the models of the Tabernacle and The Temple. I asked them if there were any similarities and any differences. I love using 3D Visuals when possible. The KIDDOS loved them too. (I explained that these are "paper" models and they had to be VERY careful when touching, looking, and examining them.) The KIDDOS did GREAT!!!!!! Because I am a firm believer in using LOTS of VISUALS, I placed these posters up on the white board....I LOVE these posters. My wonderful mother gave them to me as a gift a loooong time ago. (My family knows what type of gifts I love to get.) I did jot down a few FACTS about the Tabernacle and Temple above the posters. Our Memory Verse is Habakkuk 2:20. I feel this to be a PERFECT verse for this lesson. We have a little tune that we sing this verse to...however, I do not believe it is a KNOWN tune. I think it is a "RONDA Original" tune. :) The KIDDOS "Take Home" activity is a POP UP Temple. They colored their Temple any color they wanted...All of my "older" KIDDOS chose gold....my "younger" KIDDOS chose Pink, Blue, and Green. (I LOVE seeing the KIDDOS at different stages of development.) We glued on the DIAMOND cut Roof Top, the Columns, and the inside of the door. The KIDDOS were impressed that the doors opened and closed. Our "Review Game" was called "Build A Temple." It was played like this: The KIDDOS had to answer a question from the lesson for an opportunity to add a block to the "Temple." They did GREAT!!! I am including a few pics. taken during class time so you can see how good they were. The Song on the "Song Board" is a "Ronda Original" and is sung to the tune: Row, Row, Row Your Boat. Kiddos Listening Well What They Built. Add A Block To The Temple Next Sunday, when we review this lesson, the Kiddos will be making a "Puzzle Temple" for their Explorer Journal Activity. I have the Temple Pieces cut and in a baggie for each KIDDO. After they complete their Temple...they will have time to color in the details. (I am thinking I will let them color with my special GOLD markers.) Teaching lessons, from the books of Kings, to this age group can sometimes be a bit mind boggling....But, I am truly enjoying this challenge. I LOVE seeing the KIDDOS learning from ALL of GOD'S WORD. I believe KIDDOS are greatly benefited when we "expand" their BIBLE learning into MORE areas of the BIBLE. Hope your Bible Classes went well this past Sunday. Blessings, Ronda

I have only a faint recollection of the first time I went to the temple. I really had no idea why I was going and what it was going to do for me. I guess I should have paid better attention in temple prep class…but honestly, I can’t remember that class either. All I know is that a bunch of old guys told me I needed to go before I left on my mission…so I went.
