Those eyes...so sweet...full of love. This Baby Elephant Seal was photographed resting it's chin on mom at the San Simeon Elephant Seal rookery in California. This is the base photograph for some of the "A Little Sweetness" products. All photographic prints are printed on matte archival paper with archival ink. I print all of the photography prints myself on a large format printer, so I can ensure the highest quality! All of the artwork on all of my products is original photography, collage and painting! See my website for more works of art and let me know if there is a favorite artwork you'd like to see on a product that is not in my Etsy store! I will add product requests! www.shelleycarlisle.com

Halloween Garage Door Silhouette: I love Halloween, and I've been looking for an excuse to try out the Dremel tool my husband gave me. I thought an eerie Halloween scene covering my garage door would have a lot of impact. Rather than a standard cut-out pasted on, I wanted to add som…
Unless you're a photography buff, you probably have no idea what the people behind some of the most famous photos in the world actually look like. US photographer Tim Mantoani, however, aims to fix all that with his epic “Behind Photographs” series.
No band got into the spring break spirit of Alabama's sunny Hangout Festival quite like Cage the Elephant. SPIN's cameras caught them hanging in the sand

'I Need To Grow Into My Feet' is an original pen and ink and pencil drawing. 145mm x 200mm in size on hand stained paper which gives the piece a timeless, aged appearance. They are a lovely little family of hares...'You and me and baby makes three'... using a tiny nib I have worked some small detail into the drawing with shapes and pattern, weaving a tiny tale into the work. Materials used: ink, pencil
This vegan butter has my husband’s seal of approval, and let me tell you...the man knows his butter. It's also super easy. A vegan butter that involves less forest/animal habitat destruction? Yes, please! Creamy, easy and it's super quick to whip up. --Note-- I recommend only using soy milk, as it is noted that some other non-dairy milks may have difficulty curdling. Refined coconut oil imparts absolutely no coconut flavor. Unrefined coconut oil, however, will impart a coconut flavor. Liquid lecithin and xanthan gum can be found in the organic or bulk section of most local grocery stores.
We feel more than we think. This is a blessing and a curse. It allows us to understand people and see things others don't. However, when we remove the shield we become vulnerable and in this vulnerability we can be hurt.
Photo Source: www.gettingmessywithmsjessi.com If you're planning an "All About Me" unit to kick off the school year, you might consider including this fun fingerprinting activity shared by Jessi Feltmann over at Getting Messy With Ms. Jessi! {We just love how she has chosen to include both 'friendship' and 'family life' in the unit topics! Yes, Jessi - we heartily agree that these make a person too!} To start the activity, students are invited to trace their hands onto a piece of paper, then use the provided ink pads to add a print of each finger. [NOTE: This is a great sensory activity too! We know your preschoolers are sure to love the squishy feel of the washable ink pad and the tickle of the pencil as it traces their hands!] After each child has had the chance to wash up, have them observe their newly created prints. Pull up some pictures of fingerprint whirls, loops, and arches, provide your kiddos with magnifying glasses, and invite them to check out the unique shape of their prints {and those of their classmates!}. A simple science exercise and a fun way to remind your students that they're all a unique part of the class! For this and several other activities in Jessi's "All About Me" unit, be sure to visit Getting Messy With Ms. Jessi!
