Snoopy's Halloween Surprise synopsis: It is Halloween, and Lucy is bragging to everyone about how she will win the Halloween costume contest. Snoopy decides to compete, but he cannot make up his mind about which costume he wants to wear. Snoopy's friend, Woodstock, tries to help him, but time is running out. Will Snoopy be able to create a Halloween costume that will win the contest, and will he be able to make it to the contest in time? Do not fear the reader's theater format. Students love these adapted stories because they are listening to the story and they are a part of the story by playing a character within the story. Reader's theatre inspires reluctant readers to join in the fun. The strongest and most advanced readers in your class will encourage other students to raise their hand and participate in the story. I also use reader's theatre to add to my drama marks. If the reader's theatre format did not work for my students and I, then I would have stopped creating and adapting them years ago. Reluctant readers sometimes feel anxious looking at pages of text, whereas a reader's theater script is broken up into narration and different characters speaking, thus making the story more accessible to those students who have not discovered the incredibly fun activity of reading for entertainment. I use shorter stories with minimal characters in literature circles. When can one make time for a reader's theatre story in class? When I am not reading a reader's theatre unit with my class, I usually reserve Friday's for the reading of a one-off story. It is an event that the class looks forward to, since they do not know which story I will choose. Great for Librarians. I project the stories on the screen and assign characters in class. Some characters only have 1 line. A character like that is perfect for a reluctant reader. I have read these stories remotely/online and in class/in-person. I was recently requested to write up a pattern for a kids fringe crop top! Even though it’s only 50 degrees out today it’s hot in other parts of the world right?! 🙂 So the fringe crop top was born! I think it’s definitely a crochet pattern staple to have when you have little ones running around. It’s super cute for photo shoots or to just wear outside during the hot summer days. I included 3 different sizes but it is VERY easy to adjust even further if you need to. To make it wider, add more chains to the starting chain. To make it longer or shorter, add or take away rows. I used Paintbox cotton yarn. 4.00mm crochet hook Yarn needle Sizes: Pattern is written as follows S(M,L). Each top fits a wide range due to the adjustable straps. Cute vintage 70's Step II by sportscaster overalls! Marked a ladies 10, but definitely fits a petite xs-small given the strap length. These seem to have some water resistant properties as I noticed while washing so think overalls, but as a rain/snow shell! This jumpsuit is not lined... it's more of a thin shell to be worn over your ski layers or just be worn because it's flippin' cute. Poly cotton blend. Has a tie at the waist to cinch tighter. One side had a talon zip pocket and snap down patch pocket.the snaps at the bottom of the leg have a few options... snapped one way in front... or in back... or wrapped front to back to tighten the leg around your boot. They are in excellent condition... just a few dark marks back of leg shown in last photo. The straps on these are short. I am providing measurements in the longest possible position from shoulder to top of bib. This is 7" Measure the chest fit 7" down from your shoulder... or if you are shorter like me (just shy of 5'4) they can be shortened... chest measurement in longest position is 34" max. Waist- 30" max... cinch as tight as you prefer. (Shown on 26-27" waist) Rise from crotch to top of bib- 23" Hips- max 37" (Shown on 37" hips) Upper thigh- 11.5" across Inseam- 30" with room to let down another inch.
