Oh, I crack myself up! Can you hear an older man sternly saying that title in your head like I can? Can you actually HEAR it?! “Now, see here!” (Yes, I’m really giggling over here at the puns!) A co
I totes made a tote! (I crack myself up every time I say that, and believe me, I've said it a lot over the last week!) I'm SO happy I teamed up with Fat Quarter Shop for another quilt along. This is the new Jolly Braid Tote Bag, and it's just gorgeous! Want to know a secret? I've never made a bag before. So if I can do it, you can too! I was really nervous to tackle this project, but I pressed on. The instructions were so clear and easy to follow, and this project was a joy to sew! I knew immediately that I wanted to use Modern Background Luster by Zen Chic for this bag. I purchased a Jolly Bar (this being a Jolly Bar specific pattern), extra yardage, and a few extras, and I was ready to go! I can't tell you enough how gorgeous this fabric is! During construction of the bag, I kept stopping just to admire it. Lol. I deviated slightly from the pattern with the handles. The pattern called for a scrappy handle, but I had just enough yardage to make my handles match my side pieces. I made an executive decision and went with it! ======== Linking up with: Needle and Thread Thursday @ My Quilt Infatuation Finish It Up Friday @ Crazy Mom Quilts Can I Get A Whoop Whoop @ Confessions of a Fabric Addict Finished or Not Friday @ Busy Hands Quilts ======== One more photo, you know, "for the road." ======== Until next time! - Sarah
Tener que + infinitive is one of those topics that I have to teach (haha, get it?), but never really sinks in for the kids. This year I was looking for a new way to teach it and I came up with an idea that worked so well, I just had to share it! (I crack myself ... Read More about How to teach tener que +infinitive

Maybe quarantine is getting to me, but I cracked myself up a little when I added a vintage Last Supper broken plate mosaic to this chalkboard menu board. What's for dinner tonight? I dunno... five loaves and two fish? locust and honey? milk and honey? bread and wine? probably just pizza. Measures 20.75 inches tall, 14 inches wide, fresh coat of paint on the frame, fresh coat of chalkboard paint on the board but the shadow of the word "menu" still shows up a bit.

There are five types of comedy songs, and of course Bo Burnham is awesome at all of them.
