The thing I am most excited for in 2024 is to study the Book of Mormon. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we are focusing on studying the Book of Mormon along with a study manual called Come Follow. Today I put together some book marks to help me with my Come Follow Me and Book of Mormon study. You can print some for you as well. Great for primary groups, youth groups, and for personal study. If you want this year to be different, the Book of Mormon is the answer. It has helped me find answers to questions, and find happiness. It has helped me improve my relationship with Jesus Christ. If you are even thinking about reading it, do it. And read the whole thing. It will change your year and your life.

Being that it’s January and setting goals is a tradition of mine, I wanted something physical to write down my goals on so I could see them daily. I’m also a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (aka LDS or formerly referred to as “Mormon”) and our church has come out with a new initiative for the kids and teens ages 7-18 to help them learn to set and achieve goals in four main categories: social, physical, intellectual, and spiritual. I decided to try the format and designed some worksheets following that model. I like the booklets the church provides but wanted something all on one sheet. This one sheet has all the elements of the booklets for each category on one paper. Once purchased you can print as many times as you like as you set new goals, or you can print and laminate to reuse over again. I just ask that you don't send the file around to others, thank you.

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. At my church, we teach the youth (ages 12-18) from a curriculum called Come, Follow Me. Each month, we teach lessons centered around a particular topic. The topic for March is the Atonement of Jesus Christ. The first lesson outline this month is "What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ?" For this lesson, I created the worksheet/handout you see below. Each fill-in-the-blank answer comes from the section "Atonement of Jesus Christ" in True to the Faith. Today we have a convert baptism of a child (8 years old), so I adapted our usual "Welcome to the Ward" packet to be a little more kid-appropriate. The usual handouts and information are included (see the "Welcome Packet" section for more info), but I made a few changes/additions: More coloring/activity pages (found here) "My Gospel Standards" print-out (found on the Idea Door website, here) Sacrament prayer card* "My Baptism Covenants" print-out (found on the Idea Door website, here) Several age-appropriate "Mormonad" poster cards Picture of Christ with children*I printed out the Sacrament prayers (printable version found at the Idea Door, here), and glued them onto colorful paper. Then I glued the two prayers back to back, to make a sort of two-sided bookmark. I also attached a little paper piece of bread and a water cup that I made out of scraps of scrapbooking paper to make it easier to tell which side is which. i haven't mentioned it a ton here on this blog, but my religion/faith is a huge part of my life. i am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (aka Mormon or LDS). i go to church on Sundays, and this past week while i was at there (roaming the halls with my fairly loud 6 month old), i passed a bulletin board with this poster on it. lately i have been letting a lot of other stuff take priority over my need for spiritual study. to some, this may seem silly or trivial. to me, this is huge. making time to read my scriptures has always been important to me, and i can definitely see a difference in my day/attitude when i read them. so when i saw this poster, it was like a lightbulb went off above my head. now, i've totally had sheets like this before - read the BofM in 30 days, that one chart that you get in Primary where you color it in as you go - but for whatever reason, when i saw this one i got really excited. i guess it was the perfect push to get me going, because i got home and started the challenge that day. buuuut of course i wanted to make my own chart. this is what i came up with: the check-mark boxes help me to see where i am and give me that teeny feeling of accomplishment when i get to make that "x" in each one. and heck yes i'm sharing this with you! and i hope you get excited about it just like i am! there's a blue/green version too for the boys, or all you pink-haters out there (hehe). download here:
