Helen Levi produces all her handmade ceramics in a bright, airy corner studio in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Helen launched her online shop in 2013, which for her was a natural progression after starting an Instagram profile, allowing her to sell her ceramics to customers farther afield. The online shop is an extension of Helen’s studio, she offers unique, one-off pieces that are not sold elsewhere. Though most of Helen’s customers are based in the US, she does ship worldwide, requests ranging from one mug to a complete kitchen outfit. Open studios and one-day sales events are offered on a regular basis, clients can visit her work space, see where everything is made, and leave with their new purchase in hand. The Shopkeeper Pottery has been a hobby of Helen Levi since childhood. Helen had the opportunity to work on a pottery project whilst she was pursuing a career as a photographer, as well as juggling several part time jobs. References to nature evolve as she works, which she uses to name her collections. She loves learning new techniques, […]
