Today is Day 2 of the Falloween Release Sneak Peeks and I'm excited to share a playful and interactive shaker card that I created using some of the latest products. This card is perfect for sending a little Halloween cheer to someone special. Please note links are inactive until the Falloween Release goes live on August 23rd after the Live Release Party on YouTube at 8 pm EST. CARD RECIPE Spider - Lovely Layers: Scaredy Cat Dies Spider Eyes - Sweet and Spooky Pearl Stickers Background - Spider Web 3D Embossing Folder Sentiment - Too Cute to Spook Dies Frame - Layering Vintage Labels Frames Shaker bits - Black Opal Confetti Mix, Aurora Lights Confetti Mix Shaker - A2 Shaker Pockets Background Magic: I started with the Spider Web 3D Embossing Folder to create the spooky web background. Using the blackout technique, I blended yellow, pink, and blue inks from Inkon3 into the reversed embossed areas of the Tangled Web 3D Embossing Folder. The colors give a vibrant yet eerie glow, perfect for a Halloween-themed card. Adding the Shaker Element: To bring in some fun, I created a shaker element using the A2 Shaker Pockets. I filled the shaker with a mix of Black Opal Confetti Mix and Aurora Lights Confetti Mix. The iridescent confetti adds a playful shimmer that catches the light beautifully. Focal Point & Sentiment: The sentiment "Too Cute to Spook" is die-cut using the Too Cute to Spook Dies. I layered the sentiment onto a vellum shadow layer and glued it to the shaker, allowing it to stand out against the vibrant background. For an extra touch of spookiness, I added a cute spider from the Lovely Layers: Scaredy Cat Dies. I used Sweet and Spooky Pearl Stickers for the spider's eyes, giving it an adorable yet mischievous look. Framing It All: Now, to fix a mistake I made I added the frame around the shaker pocket. Sadly I trimmed the background a little too much and you could see some of the adhesive of the pocket. So to salvage this I added a frame that I then used it to hang the Spider off of. The frame ties everything together and also gives the card a polished finished look. This card is a delightful mix of spooky and cute, making it perfect for Halloween. The combination of the blackout technique, playful shaker elements, and the charming spider adds a fun and festive vibe to the design. I hope this card inspires you to create your own Falloween-themed projects using Honey Bee Stamps' latest release! Happy Day ScrapbookPal friends, Annette Allen here with you today and I am sharing my first post as one of the new blog design team members. Because it is the season I am sharing a card filled with the winter Holiday season. Today I am featuring the new Honey Bee Stamps: Honey Cuts Build a Snowman. I first die cut all the shapes needed to create my card. I used miscellaneous pieces of colored card-stock. These dies are small so if you have scrap pieces of colored card-stock, they work perfectly. Time to put these cuties together. I used Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue to adhere these snowmen together. Lots of little parts to glue so the fine tip helps in these small areas. When I got to the scarf I used 3L Scrapbook Adhesives 3D foam strips. This gives my scarfs a little dimension. Now to create this background. I cut my card to be A2 in size and stenciled directly onto the card base. I used the new Honey Bee Stamps Stencil Crystal Kaleidoscope with Ranger Ink Tim Holtz: Distress Oxide Ink Pads Kitsch Flamingo and Salvaged Patina with Ranger Ink: Mini Ink Blending Tool. Time to put the card together. I added the snowmen using 3L Scrapbook Adhesives 3D foam strips so that my card would have a little more dimension. Finishing up with stamping this Lawn Fawn: Toboggan Together stamp set, Merry Christmas sentiment with Tsukineko Memento Full Size Die Inkpad Tuxedo Black. Thank you for stopping by. Just buzzing by for this week's new card for The Challenge! It's a fun one this week! You can check out all of the details and rules HERE. This week YOU get to choose the color to add to black and white! I wanted to make a Halloween card, but decided not to, since Summer won't be around forever and I love making Summer cards! You can also see some fabulous inspiration from the other designers! Anita Madden Claire Broadwater Kim Heggins Lee Ann Barret Lori Tecler Nance Salkeld Nina Forsyth Rachel Bergfeld Vicki Finger I'm going to be completely honest with you...this actually was a CHALLENGE for me! LOL! My mind just kept overthinking everything and in the end I really just got back to basics with bees! You can't go wrong with black, white and yellow bees! These cute little guys are from Reverse Confetti's The Buzz and I colored them using Copic markers and a little Wink of Stella for some added shine. I REALLY wanted to add some blue highlights to the wings, but I resisted to stay true to the rules of the challenge. After the bees had been colored, I used the coordinating Confetti Cuts to die cut them. I used some black and white striped paper from The Paper Studio on the right hand side for some added contrast. I just love how it looks! The yellow cardstock was die cut using the new-ish To The Point Edgers Dies. I have been enjoying using them on various projects which you can see HERE and HERE. I stamped the Bee "trails" using black ink directly onto the yellow panel and then added the bees using foam squares. I also added a black sentiment strip with the "just bee you" sentiment using white ink. A few Sparkling Clear Sequins finish it off! I hope you get a chance to play! I can't wait to see what you come up with! Thanks for buzzing by...I mean fluttering by!
