Update - Links removed 12-30-12. It’s here! The Clean House Calendar has been up dated and received a new name for 2012. The new and improved calendar is now the Get It Together, Already Organizer/Cleaning Schedule. And it looks like this: It is currently available for January – June 2012 in 8 ½ by 11 format. If you would like a copy you can download it here. Keep an eye out for July – December 2012 and other formats coming soon. Also starting January 1st and running through the 31st the Get It together, Already blog will be the site for a 31 Day Organizational Challenge for its readers. We will be cleaning & organizing many areas that are not specifically listed on the Cleaning Schedule. I can’t wait to get started, Britia
This is the best FREE WAY to organize Christmas lights so they won't become tangled when you put them away. I hope everyone had an amazing holiday weekend! I've been in de-Christmas-fying mode since yesterday and it feels so good.
In our house, we like to use the foaming soap pumps. They are especially helpful in the kids' bathroom, but it's amazing how quickly a bottle can get used up. Did you know that they are mostly water and can be refilled for pennies? Open your empty pump and pour in about 1/8-1/4 of the bottle's capacity with soap. I use the clear refill soap, I'm not sure if it would work with the creamy, thicker, moisturizing type soap. Fill the rest of your bottle gently with water, leaving a bit empty at the top so it won't overflow when you put the pump back on. Screw the pump back on and gently swirl the water and soap until they are well combined. Wash up! Often I even buy the little $0.88 bottles of soap at Wal-Mart that are scented raspberry, melon, or whatever. They work great too and that little bottle will make 4-5 refills. I'm sure I'm telling lots of you something you already know, but hopefully this is a helpful little tip for someone! Linking up with My Uncommon Slice of Suburbia Cornerstone Confessions
