We take great care to ensure that the best materials, packaging, and service are part of every order. OUR PRINTING PROCESS (printers, inks & paper)Our nautical charts and maps are printed on high-end professional equipment using art-quality archival inks and paper. The prints fit nicely inside standard-sized frames of the same dimension. DIGITAL RESTORATIONAll maps are meticulously digitally restored to provide you with a clean, clear, and beautiful map that honors its period of origin. In this process, imperfections are removed. This listing is to have a one-of-a-kind rococo inspired suit custom made to your size! The suits start at £600 which includes a jacket, blouse, neck piece, and a bottom half of your choice e.g. trousers, shorts, skirt. I can also create matching accessories such as shoe clips, hair bows etc. I will design a piece specific to you and your style, which is one-off and bespoke. Here's why... I only work with second hand and/or dead-stock fabrics and materials to create my pieces, as sustainability is hugely important to me and I love to make each piece totally unique and one-of-a-kind! We can work together to pick fabrics you like either from my existing fabric stash or to source second-hand fabrics if we can't find what you're looking for. Re-purposed fabrics could be anything from a pair of vintage curtains to end-of-roll fabric remnants! For this reason there will have to be some flexibility regarding the materials we use, but I always try to give you as many options as possible according to what I have, and what colours and patterns you like. Inspiration images are of course welcome, and I will send you original sketches and fabric photos for you to chose from. Postage is free for UK customers, and overseas shipping costs will depend on each commission, as the size and weight of the final piece will affect the overall cost. I will make the suit as close to your measurements as I possibly can, but I am unable to do fittings in person if you are out of the UK so please bear this in mind! The pieces pictured above are previous commissions I created for clients, so whilst I can't replicate these designs, I hope they give you some idea of what is possible. Different colours and styles are welcome. To see more of my work check out my Instagram: @meg_lara_atelier *Please don't 'purchase' this listing! I will set up your own custom listing for you once we have discussed your design, thank you.* If you would like to enquire about a commission, please feel free to send me a message here on Etsy or you can email me at meglaraatelier [!at] gmail.com and I can give you more information. Thanks, Meg Curious about the price? The price of custom pieces covers the following: * Time taken to design & sketch initial ideas - several hours * Hand illustrated, original sketch to keep * Time taken to collect and gather materials (e.g. online, thrift-shopping etc.) - several hours * The cost of all materials used * Labour costs for many hours of sewing and constructing - Several days/Weeks * Time taken for communication, emails, enquiries etc * Fees taken from Etsy * Thoughtful & sustainable packaging * An original, one-of-a-kind piece made with love, that you can treasure forever! Please feel free to message me if you have any questions, ***As I work with second hand and re-purposed materials, each time is a one-off every time. Slight signs or wear are to be expected in the materials here and there, but anything particularly noticeable will be avoided or discussed with you.*** Photo credits: Danielle Milnes
Do you struggle to find the time to teach your students about important events in history? Your students are going to love delving into a daily bit of history when you use This Day in History monthly calendar numbers. This Day in History calendar introduces your students to an event that happened on that particular day sometime in history. Your students will love the anticipation of learning what event took place on that day. This Day in History is a FULL YEAR calendar resource that is great to use on its own or in conjunction with This Day in History Bell Ringers resource. This companion resource includes a full year of morning work covering these same events in more detail. The morning work contains questions related to comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure, and more: This Day in History Classroom Calendar resource includes: Calendar title: “ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY” 365 calendar cards (all 12 months included) Months Days of the week ⚠️ IMPORTANT: While there is history from many different countries included in the cards, a lot of the cards reflect American history, and would probably serve better for those teaching in American schools. Also, while I shied away from most murders and other gruesome events, there are a few included that I felt were important to history (assassination of a president, etc.) For this reason, I wouldn't suggest this resource to anyone under fourth grade (maybe even fifth). Please note: Each calendar number measures roughly 4" wide and 4 1/4" tall. Because I needed to make the numbers large enough to read the text, these will not fit on a standard calendar poster like you would get from a teacher supply store. I just make my own background with squares of colored paper in a grid, or you could use marker or tape to get that same effect.

This blueprint in the Cooper-Hewitt collection depicts architect William Lescaze's radical and trendsetting four-story townhouse at 211 East 48th Street, New York. Little, if any, changes were made between this design—or between a sketch, also in the museum's collection—and the final structure, built in 1933–34. Lescaze's townhouse, which he used as his home and office,

Originally published in the 1884 edition of the "The Fisheries and Fishery Industries of the United States", this reproduction print of the Stone Crab was drawn by H.L. Todd. It was part of the first book in a multi-volume series produced by George Brown Goode, the famed ichthyologist (fish scientist), Smithsonian museum administrator, and U.S. Fish Commissioner. He managed a large staff of scientists, researchers, and clerical employees to produce this monumental work on American Fisheries. We are happy to make available the amazingly detailed drawings included in the first volume of the series as reproduction prints.
This is the faithful copy of the Bridal Portal of the medieval Gothic Church St. Sebaldus in Nuremberg, Germany. Of course, you won`t find every small detail in it. But if you want to place this decoration in your home or business, this vector graphic is the closest one to the knowledge and science of the old craftsmen. Surrounded by five wise and five foolish virgins, the bridal portal was built around 1320 on the northern part of the old transept.
