Today I am playing around with the Picture this dies! These are new in the Annual Catalog and I hoped to show them off so they don't get over looked. The dies are not part of a 'Bundle' as most dies are, and are easy to miss. Because they are not part of a bundle, I felt free to use them in so many ways! I needed a Birthday Card for my niece, so I thought of these fun chickens. The 'Hey Birthday Chick' stamp set is really cute with a variety of adorable chickens that look great peeking out from the holes created by the Picture This dies. I stamped the chicks on Basic White and colored them with Stampin' Blends Markers. I created a base and cover for the chickens in Pale Papaya. I added some filler for two of the smaller holes with some 'Pattern Party' designer series paper. This next card is a copy right out of the catalog. I like to recreate projects from the catalog to help get me going with a stamp or die set. The catalog artisans do such a great job and often I get some ideas of my own flowing as I recreate the samples. This stamp set is Peekaboo Farm. I love how just the simple cutting out of the hooves and placing them on the outsides of the holes gives the appearance of the animals peeking out at you. This next card uses some Designer Series Paper behind the cut outs. I used the black and white 'True Love' designer series paper and colored it with Stampin' Blends in Blackberry Bliss, Shaded Spruce and Fresh Freesia. The large 'Thank You' is from the Ornate Thanks stamp set. On this card, I used the Picture this dies to cut out the holes, and then I colored the images only on the cut out areas. I then popped the main panel up on dimensionals and recessed the colored cutouts. This is an old school technique called the 'Spotlight' technique. I used the Spotlight technique on this last card as well, but this time I popped up the cutouts instead of recessing them. This card uses the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set on Crumb Cake with a Misty Moonlight base. I colored the butterflies with Stampin' Up! Colored Pencils. Here is a video that shows these cards as well as created the Peekaboo Chickens card step by step. Shop with me! I would love to be your demonstrator. Hi all! I'm sure by now you've seen the Hey Chick promotion on offer from Stampin' Up. Personally I couldn't resist the Hey, Birthday Chick stamp set from the Jan-June mini catalogue - these gals are just tooooo cute! For my card I've used the masking and hinge stamping techniques to create a card that's deceptively simple as well as happy and cheerful - I mean, who could resist dancing chooks? Not me! (Whenever I look at this card, I start singing the Macarena in my head, lol!) Materials used: stamps - Hey, Birthday Chick card - crushed curry, cherry cobbler, watercolour SU inks - crushed curry, Cajun craze, cherry cobbler, Sahara sand other - Stamparatus, post-it note, cherry cobbler embossing powder, heat tool, aqua painter, SU markers, craft foam We'll be making this one in class next week and as some of my ladies have already purchased this adorable set, I know they'll love putting ink to these classy ladies. Thanks for stopping by. Cheers Kerry

I'm sharing the new chick bundles with the frame from the Peek-a-Hoot Dies. The cut-outs are tags that can be used later. I didn't think these chicks would be my thing, but they have made me smile among all the gloom. They are so easy to colour....any colour you like, there's no rules with chickens! The sentiments are fun too. This is for a special Birthday, and I noticed this Allsorts Challenge... Week 6️⃣1️⃣2️⃣ Anything Goes with add a Number option. ....and Addicted to Stamps challenge... It's Make It Monday! Today I have a super cute and easy Sticky Notepad Holder to show you using the Hey Chick and Hey Birthday Chick Bundles.
Hi, Stampers! A couple of weeks ago I told you about a fun promotion coming your way on 2 February 2021. I hope everyone has had the opportunity to take a look at the HEY BIRTHDAY CHICK stamp set on page 52 of the Stampin’ Up!®️ January - June 2021Mini Catalog. If those chicks look familiar, it is because they made their debut in the HEY CHICK stamp set during SALE-A-BRATION 2017! The HEY CHICK stamp set is returning for an encore, and it is bringing the CHICK DIES with it! Wait.... there is more! BIRTHDAY CHICK DIES are joining the fun as well! Each stamp set and its coordinating dies can be purchased as a bundle, or you can purchase each item individually. If you still have the HEY CHICK stamp set in your collection, rest assured the HEY CHICK DIES work perfectly with the images. Below is the card I showed you a couple of weeks ago. I made it using the HEY CHICK stamp set. And now for some cards made using the HEY BIRTHDAY CHICK stamp set and BIRTHDAY CHICK DIES: This card was inspired by the cards on page 52 of the mini catalog. The chicken wire is made using a die from the CHICK DIES. The balloons are colored with Stampin’ Blends, then stamped with Classis ink using the confetti stamp from the stamp set. What is more fun than dancing chickens? Making a card featuring dancing chickens, of course! The background panel was made using Basic White cardstock, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie ink pads, and blending brushes. Look at the little chicken scratches along the bottom of the focal panel. There is a die for that! I love that! After die cutting the chick scratches, I used the Tasteful Textile 3-D embossing folder to add a little texture. I die cut two happy birthdays, one from Basic White cardstock, and another from Pumpkin Pie cardstock, the adhered the two together - just offset a bit. This card uses chicken images from both stamp sets. The chicken coop is a die cut from the CHICK DIES. The cute BUMBLEBEE gingham ribbon is found on page 161 of the annual catalog. The background DSP is from the BERRY DELIGHTFUL DSP - an SAB item that is bundled with the BERRY BLESSINGS stamp set that can be earned for free with a $100 Stampin’ Up! product purchase between now and 28 February! HEY CHICK STAMP SET CHICK DIES HEY BIRTHDAY CHICK STAMP SET BIRTHDAY CHICK DIES These items will be available for purchase 2 February - 30 June 2021. That’s all for today, Stampers. Until next time... Stamp Happy! Kim All stamps and stamped images ©️1990-2021 Stampin’ Up!®️

Adhere the three 1” x 4” pieces of DSP to the card front staggering them so the center piece is higher than the other two pieces. Cut three banners from the 2” x 3 ½” piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock. Adhere these to the card front over the 1” x 4” pieces (see photo for placement). Use StazOn ink to stamp the chicken image onto the 3” x 4 ½” piece of Shimmery White cardstock. Cut out the Happy Birthday die from the Birthday Chick dies from the 2 ½” x 1 ½” pieces of Shimmery White and Magenta Madness cardstock. Adhere the Magenta Madness Happy Birthday piece to the Shimmery White Happy Birthday piece slightly offsetting them so a shadow of white shows behind. Adhere this piece to the card front.
