Hello May and greetings to the newest release of Heidi Swapp Shop Stamps This is the part of the show where we chat a bit about the newest Heidi Swapp Stamp release. This is an event that happens on the first of each month. And it's so much fun. I also have a BONUS video that is avaiable now. In this video you will discover a very easy idea for stamping almost perfectly every time. You can find that video right HERE. There are three new stamp sets this month and all unique and useable for so many ways we tell our stories and get creative. The first here is the one called Funnest? How great is that for a stamp set name. Pretty great I'll say. It has all the right words for a fun time. Or even to create prompts for journaling. Do you ever do that with your stamps? This is a 4x6 stamp set. Full of perfect sentiments for focusing on the fun stuff. And if you are like me, ya need to actually work at the reality of fun stuff. Maybe this stamp set will help. Then...there is the very very fun title stamp set called Alphabet Marquee. For all the sarcastic phrases in your life that need to come to fruition in a serious way. In the bonus video above I am sharing how I used this stamp set in my planner. And it's poised and ready for even more spaces to fill in said memory planner. As always the quick to sell out Month Captions: June. Ta dah! So so good. I used it here for some Dad card idea... but wait... there's more... In the video I am also sharing a very easy way to get really great stamp impressions. We will process this stamp and tag in said video. You won't want to miss this idea. Trust me. That is the most wonderful and fabulous Heidi Swapp Shop Stamp Release for May 1. what a great month! Would you agree? February brings with it this upbeat vibe. For us in the NorHem winter has been around for while. Then February comes with it's talk of gratitude and love and making for others and it just feels like a shot in the arm. Would you agree with said shot in the arm? As I am writing this a day after the Heidi Swapp Shop February release, I can say with confidence, this release has been Ah!Mazing!!! So much love for the new stamps and new die and new tags. In the above image with that cutey-patootey the Heidi Handwritten stamp set was used to create the title of this fun tag sort of scrap page. I'm so glad to have Heidi's signature handwriting in stamp form. Eager to create all the titles and greetings and quotes and what not. The stamp is a little tricky. I should probably do a video on that now, shouldn't I? As I always say, practice makes better. So practice, practice, practice. Now for the stamp we are always here for: March Agenda. Do you 'collect' the Agenda stamps? I am showing how to craft this tag in the video linked below. It's one way I sort of get use to the Agenda stamp...I make a tag for my Memory Planner Month at a Glance page. Not only do I love the Agenda for that month marker, but the sentiments and phrases found on these sets always makes for great prompts. I mean, just that 'happiness is...' alone is such a great journal prompt. And as always we are here for the journaling, right? Next up are these tags: Jumbo Tags in Ledger as well as White. Then...Slender Tags, Ledger and White. I mean...right?!? So so very good! I'm a gonna need more of those for sure. I mean, tags are in and of themselves so happy. There is always a reason to craft a tag for someone. Can I get an amen? Well. Anyway, it's my goal in life to make you a believer that that indeed is the truth. Did anyone say File Folder Die? Because, hello!!! It's here. LOOK HOW CUTE? You know mea, tools that we can reuse again and again and make all the things are the best tools. That's why I love me some stamps and dies. The possibilities are endless making these dies great craft investments. I just coined that phrase right now. You can quote me. OK, my crafty, storytelling friends. Let's celebrate the love this month and always. It truly is just one way we tell our story. Find all the new Heidi Swapp Shop goodies right HERE. let's celebrate Did I ever tell you about that time I sent cupcakes in the mail to Heidi for her birthday? yeah. Don't ever do that. Or at least, don't do it the way I did it. #disaster But I digress... It's Heidi Swapp's Milestone birthday this weekend and the Heidi Swapp Media Team is here to celebrate. Be sure to follow @kimjeffress and @lindsaydawnebateman on Instagram to catch how they are saying happy birthday to the most talented and inspiring human in the world. Am I wrong? I mean...how do you make a card for the mother of all card makers? I did attempt to make one. And it should already be at her house. I took the new Sun Chaser and created a one paper wonder card. It basically became an oversized envelope to hold some stamped sentiments and tags and banners and hearts, as well as a larger tag. You can see here how I trimmed down the sides to fold over and then to fold in for flaps. The top part of the paper covers up the whole 'card' creating a sort of envelope if you will. I should probably tutorial this, shouldn't I? Let me know your vote in the comments below. The main sentiment tag was done up with a lot of Heidi Swapp Shop stamps. Is it weird to send Heidi sentiments in her own handwriting? Don't answer that. Then I tucked the cutey little tag back into the 'one paper wonder'. And here's a little tip...that ENJOY THE NOW mini tag that appears to be sewn on...yeah...it's not. I sewed on the stitches then adhered it to the card front. Just seemed easier that way but still gave the tag the look of the stitched. And ... yay ... !!! Happy Birthday to Heidi. Oh what fun. And what a great way to close out Card and Letter Writing Month. To say happy birthday to one of the most amazing hand letter-ers and card makers I know. What an honor to know her. To collab with her. To just be under the influence of her inspiration and abilities. May we all bless others the way she has blessed us. All stamps used in this project can be found HERE. new art walk tags making a beautiful impression Art Walk is shipping to retailers as we speak. This week on the HeidiSwapp.com blog I not only showcased this collection of Art Walk inspired tags, but I also shared my heart when it comes to matters of creativity and motivation and creative therapy. You can find that article right HERE. Today, however, let's turn to the more creative side of things. I've included this video that walks through all the details on each one of these tags: WALK THROUGH VIDEO ~ ART WALK LAYERED TAGS Here's one idea I want to reiterate yet again. And this idea goes for cards as well. Playing with the variation on a theme idea is sort of like the assembly line method of creating. You've done assembly line card crafting before, right? Same exact product goes on each card in the same exact way. What I love about 'variation on a theme' cards or tags is that all the same products are being used (all will be linked below). But there is a fun level of creativity involved making each card just a little different. I challenge you to play along. Maybe start with three tags only. Challenge yourself to make three tags from the same products or collection and same embellishments. But rather than make them all the same, change each one up some way, somehow. Trust me. It'll be fun. Here are some pretty up close and personal looks at each tag: Thank you for visiting. Thank you for playing along. stamp all the plans I'm a planner girl. But boy do I love me some stamps. This hearkens back to the Stampin' Up days when I needed ALL the stamps. Good times. Just like so many other things in our lives, things change. I don't use stamps quite like I use to. And today is a great example of that. More and more I am adding stamping to my Memory Planner. Today I want to share three easy and doable ways that I am adding in some stamp work. First off, fill in the date. I have been using these stamps for a while, but the Subway Lowercase Alpha Stamps, exclusive at ScrapbookCom, are my go-to stamps for my planner. This of course is subject to change. But for now I am reaching for them all the time. Mostly to mark the date on the month and weekly pages. These Subway Lowercase Alphas are a great size to give title to the month. I am also a fan of that little round Stamp Block. It's little. Sturdy. And round. I really do use that all the time too. It's just so darn cute. The alpha stamps fit on them perfect. Paired with my go-to Ranger Archival Jet Black Stamp Ink, I just keep these pages formatted the same with these stamp titles. Another way I am using stamps on my planner is with the Cards for Kindness stamp set. I know. I know. This stamp set was made for, well, the Cards For Kindness card campaign. But I grabbed that little tiny heart stamp to make an embellishment for this planner spread. It's actually a little easier to see in the next photo. But I wanted to show you that stamp sets do not have to be strictly planner stamps to be used in one's planner. Even card stamps work. I can see using that Hello. The rainbow. That cloud and sun for the weather. The Sunshine stamp would be great too. There are may possibilities with almost every stamp set to find their way in a planner. The third way I am using stamps in this planner spread is with that word phrase. My Happy Place. Oh, hiking is indeed my happy place this fall. And with people I love, it's a little bit of heaven. This set is called Magical Day. Also an exclusive at ScrapbookCom. It was meant to commemorate a day at a theme park. While THAT is not happening right now, what IS happening is keeping up with my planner. So I grabbed that phrase stamp. Cut out a notched tag with the Heartfelt Wishes Die Set. Stamped the phrase. Then stapled it at the fold. It was adhered to the page with a glue dot, but not actually stapled. Tah dah! Thinking outside the theme park box! Three stamps. Three ways. On one planner page. These ideas can also be used on a scrapbook page. A card. And even a tag. Finding different ways to use your stamps makes them that much more valuable in your stash. And it also makes for pretty stuff. Hey friends...when you shop these links below, I receive a small kick back from your sales from Scrapbookcom. There is absolutely no extra cost to you at all!
