This geometric wrap is knit in oatmeal shades of Silk Garden colorway #269 Komaki. The pleat and zigzag sections alternate throughout. The zigzag section features the right and left twists that create the dimensional diagonals. This design is unique in that it was the first to mix vertical and diagonal folding and was inspired by origami paper folding and the fabric designs of Issey Miyake.

This cowl is the perfect all-the-time accessory! A fun and engaging knit with lots of squish that looks like an asymmetrical triangle shawl when worn, but it only takes a fiddle-free second to throw it on as the finish to every outfit! If you struggle styling shawls - then this cowl may be just the answer for you! It is knit flat sideways, on the bias, and then seamed up the back neck after blocking. This cowl utilizes Half-Fishermen’s Rib for the ultimate squish fabric and to create a really fun play on stripes!. - Andrea_________________________ This cowl is knit out of Spincycle Dyed in the Wool; the ever popular, vibrant, slowly color-shifting yarn dyed and milled by Kate, Rachel, and Team Spincycle just north of here in Washington. As you knit these yarns together, due to the unique dyeing style of Spincycle, you will truly have a one of-a-kind shawl. Andrea used two colors, two skeins each. And is listed as Andrea's Version. Whenever Kristine gets a chance to knit with Spincycle, she loves combining their colors as the possible outcome is so intriguing! So she used three colors. She carried Color A throughout the shawl as instructed by Andrea. She started striping with Color B (as instructed by Andrea), and then once she ran out of Color B, she moved to Color C. A very easy modification. Her sample is knit using the Daybreak set. We had so much fun putting together Kristine's color combos, we created two more using three colors each! All are stunning and will make a beautiful cowl.Yarns are photographed in order as to how they will be used in the shawl. _________________________FINISHED MEASUREMENTCircumference - 26”/66 cm Center Depth - 23.75”/60.5 cm Back Neck Depth - 12”/30.5 cm _________________________ BUNDLES INCLUDE four skeins of Spincycle Dyed in the Wool yarn (200 yds/approx 50g) and are available in the following colorways: Andrea's VersionColor A: Valley Girl (2 skeins)Color B: Light Years (2 skeins) DaybreakColor A: Small Wonder (Verb's Custom Spincycle Color) Color B: Bright IdeaColor C: Space OddityWildflowerColor A: Every RoseColor B: Afternoon Delight Color C: Dead ReckoningMoonstoneColor A: Ghost Ranch Color B: Pick Your Poison Color C: Castaway The skeins of Spincycle shown in the photos are an approximation of the colors you will receive. This design was inspired by straight highways, forests, railroad tracks, endless electric wires, distant horizon, vineyard, and views from train windows from town to town. The shawl is a triangular, sideways, bias knit shawl with mosaic pattern. You start knitting with 5 stitches, then creates the triangular shape by increasing at the right edge and decreasing at the left edge. The mosaic knitting is an easy that uses slip stitches and only one color per row and is fun and easy. The pattern includes the fully written direction and all stitch charts. The sample shawl used a full skein of each color. It is recommended to have extra length of yarn to be safe. Knitting pattern for Easy Peasy asymmetric shawl by Inge-Lis Holst and Katrine HannibalEasy Peasy is Önling's collection of basic patterns in Nordic design, written in a simple and beginner-friendly language - without abbreviations. We have designed the prettiest, softest and lightest asymmetrical shawl, simple and easy to knit. This design is a small, light shawl you can use to keep your neck warm, when a large shawl is too hot and too overwhelming. It is asymmetric and features the prettiest edges and a simple eyelet pattern that will catch the eye when you wear it. You can make it in one color or with stripes; it will be the perfect addition to your basic wardrobe. We have worked it in one of our most popular yarns, Önling No 2, made from sustainably manufactured Merino wool by a small family-operated manufacturer in Northern Italy, at the foot of the Italian alps.Designed by Inge-Lis Holst and Katrine HannibalSizes: OnesizeLength approx.: 240 cm Height approx.: 50 cm where widestMaterials: 150 g Önling No 2, 100% Merino Superfine Super 100s Wool, 25 g = approximately 120mSuggested needles: Circl ndls 4,5 mm, 60 or 80 cmGauge: 20 sts and 40 rows (20 ridges)in garter stitch on ndl 4,5 mm = 10 x 10 cmProcedure:The shawl is worked back and forth in garter stitch ridges with a simple eyelet row to break the garter stitch pattern and add symmetry to the asymmetric design. The asymmetric shape appears by increasing in all rows and decreasing on every second row. The pretty edges frame the shawl nicely. You may also want to make a stripy shawl, or work less or more eyelet rows, and you can use other materials as e.g. Önling No 1 or Silk Mohair Önling No 10 - and you can make the shawl larger or smaller, as you prefer.

Alexis creates another head-turning design with the Vallo cowl, knit in our luxurious, DK weight Phoebe yarn. An entertaining project from start-to-finish, it features graphic, all-over colorwork and interesting angles. Its generous silhouette slips over one or both shoulders and fits comfortably around the neck for a divinely cozy effect. Worked from the bottom up, its central decrease causes the piece to grow smaller as you knit. And with every completed round, the momentum builds—you won’t be able to put this project down!
