This special-edition Daisy brooch commemorates the outstanding 52-year reign of HM Queen Margrethe II of Denmark. Crafted in sterling silver and plated in 18kt gold, the brooch features the engraved date of the abdication of HM Queen Margrethe II: 14 January 2024. Its design originates from a daisy-shaped brooch worn by HM Queen Ingrid during her wedding to HM King Frederik IX. After the birth of their daughter Margrethe, later known as HM Queen Margrethe II, many Danish jewellers crafted daisy-shaped designs as gifts, as Margrethe was nicknamed Daisy. This very motif served as the inspiration for Georg Jensen's enduring and iconic Daisy jewellery collection.

The tiles depict H.M. Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and Prince Henrik. They are 6.25" by 5". They were issued in connection with the couple's engagement, so the tiles actually show Heir to the Throne Margrethe and Henri Marie Jean André de Laborde de Monpezat. Note the count's open crown rather than the closed one that Margrethe has over her head. The couple's relationship had been revealed by the Danish press before it had been made official and before the Council of State could meet and approve the engagement. On the opening day of the Folketing in 1966, King Frederik the 9th drove his daughter to a meeting in the Council of State and the engagement was approved and published. They were married in 1967. The tiles commemorate 05-10-66 engagement date. I'm selling them together. My mother was a full-blooded Dane and there was a lot of national pride in our household. Definitely items for any Danes out there who love Danish memorabilia. Kept in curio cabinet out of sun. From non-smoking/pet-free household.

Featuring a captivating dangling daisy, this pair of earrings is a subtly powerful addition to any ensemble. Hand-plated in white enamel, the pieces feature a slightly reworked design of the classic Georg Jensen motif. The earrings reference a 1940s daisy-shaped brooch gifted to HM Queen Margrethe II of Denmark.
These earrings are the perfect gift for the lady who's first or last name begins with the letter "M". This is the royal monogram of reigning Queen Margrethe II of Denmark (Margrethe Alexandrine Þórhildur Ingrid; born 16 April 1940). Look closely and you will see the 'M' is above a '2' and an 'R'. The 2 is for 'the second' and the R is for 'Regina' (Late Latin for 'queen'). Among many achievements, Margrethe is an accomplished painter and has held many art shows over the years. Her illustrations—under the pseudonym Ingahild Grathmer—were used for the Danish edition of The Lord of the Rings, which she was encouraged to illustrate in the early 1970s. She sent them to J.R.R. Tolkien who was struck by the similarity of her drawings to his own style. The vintage coins are authentic, circulated currency. They are in near-new condition, bright and shiny, with a few beauty marks acquired naturally with age and travel. The coins are made of a nickel alloy, and about the size of a US dime. **These are my 'stock' photos. the actual coins you will receive are of the same design and condition; thought, possibly varied vintage years. The Swarovski crystals are topaz in color and suspended in gold-plated frames. The earwires are made of surgical steel, soft-gray in color and hypoallergenic. The earrings are about 1-5/8 inches in length, from the top curves of the earwires to the bottom edges of the coins. --> Feel free to ask any questions - even the "silly" ones. I am here to help you! Every *Treasure* is Gift-Ready -- see the last photo as an example -- including a printed copy of the description (no cost reflected), a polishing cloth (to use if desired) all wrapped up in colorful tissue paper.
