A pretty card made for a special someone using the gorgeous Changing Leaves stamp set from Stampin' Up!
It is SIMPLE Saturday! Check out these gorgeous cards! I did another One Sheet Wonder using the 'Gorgeous Leaves' stamp set! I LOVE FALL! And I think these cards turned out super cute. They are clean & simple, yet sooooo pretty! Look below to see how I did this....... 1. I stamped the various leaves randomly down the center of this 8 1/2 x 11" Basic White card stock- going both vertically & horizontally. 2. I cut this in half- at 5 1/2" horizontally & 4 1/4" vertically. 3. I then trimmed 1/2" off of one of the 4 1/4" ends & 1/2" off of one of the 5 1/2" ends. I trimmed off of the edges that had the most WHITE space. (DO NOT TRIM OFF THE SIDES that have the more dense leaf images.) 4. The White piece of card stock with the leaf images needed to measure 3 3/4 x 5" for the exact same layout on my cards shown here. I stamped the leaves in these colors- Old Olive, Crushed Curry & Pumpkin Pie. The tiny cluster of leaves are stamped in Soft Suede. And the splatters is stamped in Crumb Cake. These words are from the 'Heartfelt Wishes' stamp set. I made this card into a fun Z fold. The base of this card is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2"- score at 2 1/8" & 4 1/4" to make the Z fold. Here are the supplies & measurements. stamp sets: 'Gorgeous Leaves' & 'Heartfelt Wishes' card stock: Crumb Cake- 5 1/2 x 8 1/2"- score at 2 1/8" & 4 1/4"- fold into a Z for card base Old Olive- 4 x 5 1/4" Basic White- 3 3/4 x 5"- this is what has the leaves stamped onto it for the card front Old Olive- 1 1/4 x 4" Basic White- 1 x 3 3/4"- stamp words onto Basic White- 3 7/8 x 5 1/8"- for inside of card inks: Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake other: Elegant Faceted Gems; Linen Thread; Dimensionals; Glue Dots I hope you have a SPECIAL Saturday!! I love fall colors because they’re so rich and warm and I'm falling in love with Stampin' Up
LOVE SKETCHES? On Tuesday I shared the newest addition to my Stampin’ Pretty Sketchbook, Sketch #29! These four rustic cards were created with Sketch #29 in mind! The Gorgeous Leaves Bundle paired
The new Gorgeous Leaves stamp set by Stampin' Up! is perfect for stamping simply or stepping it up a little (or a lot!). There's not any sentiments in this set, so pairing it with a stamp set like Best Year is ideal. When you get the Gorgeous Leaves Bundle, you will also get the Intricate Leaves Dies (gorgeous!). Of course, you can purchase just the stamps or just the dies. (there is a 10% discount if you purchase the bundle) After making the simple Thank You Card, I decided to step it up a little. I really wanted some small copper leaves to add as embellishments. I don't have any Copper Foil Sheets right now, so I decided to try making my own! Here's how... Rub Versamark directly on a scrap of cardstock, cover it with the Copper Embossing Powder, Heat Set, then use the small leaf dies to cut out some great embellishments for your project! Here's a closeup of how that turned out... MEASUREMENTS Night of Navy CARD BASE ~ 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", score at 4-1/4" Merry Merlot Cardstock ~ 4" x 5-1/4" Crumb Cake Cardstock ~ 3-3/4" x 5" Scrap of Copper Foil Sheet or Old Olive, if you are going to try the technique above Basic White Cardstock ~ 4" x 5-1/4" (this is for the inside) or use Crumb Cake CS Stamp the leaf in Old Olive, Merry Merlot and Night of Navy on Crumb Cake CS (be sure to clean your stamp between each color) Stamp the small splatter over each leaf, using Versamark. Cover with Copper Embossing Powder and tap off the excess powder. Set with the Heat Tool. Cut out your copper leaves, using three of the smallest leaf dies Attach the Crumb Cake CS tot he Merry Merlot CS Thread a piece of Linen Thread through the copper leaves, then secure behind the Merry Merlot CS with Glue Dots (I did not glue down the leaves, but you can if you want) Stamp the sentiment below the leaves, using Night of Navy ink Use Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the Merry Merlot to the front of the Night of Navy Card Base For the inside of the card, stamp your sentiment using Night of Navy ink. Then you can add another copper leaf in the lower corner. OR You can stamp Old Olive small leaves around the sentiment. I hope this card inspires you to go create something! My stampers had a great time doing some ink blending at my last class. After just starting with some plain Basic white cardstock they ended up with their own versions of this beauty! It was fun to see how each persons card turned out depending on how they blended their ink! The card starts with a Basic White thick card base, then using a layer of Basic White we aded color with blending brushes. We used Lemon Lolly, Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock. Next we flicked some water drops onto the blended ink using a water painter and a dish of water. The excess water was blotted with a paper towel to create a fun detail. Next, using the Gorgeous Gardens dies we cut the leaf pattern on the blended ink layer. Look at how lovely the effect of the inks and large panel die cut is!! Quick tip for this card front sized die: all die cutters are different so you may or may not need a shim when cutting with this die. If you find you aren't getting clean cuts you may want to add a shim to your die cutting sandwich. I used a piece of cardboard packing from a pack of DSP and ran it twice through my die cutter and all the pieces come right out. If you've tried different shims/sandwiches/multiple times through and you're still having trouble getting a clean cut definitely contact your demo about it! To finish off this card; we used the Stylish Shapes circle dies to cut 3 circles; one in Lemon Lolly, one in Pretty Peacock Soft Shimmer paper and one in white with the sentiment on it. The sentiment is in the Layering Leaves stamp set and is stamped in Pretty Peacock ink. The circles are grouped together to the side of the card front and a branch from Layering Leaves is stamped in Pretty Peacock on Lost Lagoon cardstock and punched out. It's then popped on mini dimensionals over the circles. The embellishments are a ribbon knot out of Lemon Lolly Sheer ribbon and a Lost Lagoon Tinsel Gem. All of the products used to make this card can be found in my ONLINE STORE. Thanks for looking! Did you stamp today? Stamps: Layering Leaves Ink: Lemon Lolly, Lost Lagoon, Pretty Peacock Paper: Basic White, Basic White thick, Lemon Lolly, Lost Lagoon, Pretty Peacock Soft Shimmer paper Accessories: Gorgeous Gardens dies, Stylish Shapes dies, Bough punch, dimensionals, Sheer ribbon, Tinsel Gems
The brilliance of the Art in Bloom Bundle in the Annual Catalog is that it's a trio bundle - stamps, dies, embossing folder - that would brilliantly together or each individually. The Merriest

Hi Stampers, My love of Vintage Leaves continues...today I'm sharing a couple of sympathy cards I designed. These are so simple to make, yet stunning (in my humble opinion!) The first one uses what I think of as "fall" leaves - maple and oak. The colors are Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze and Rich Razzleberry. The stamping is simple - it's just random, with no particular pattern to it, on a background of Very Vanilla. If you look closely, you can see that I "flicked" some gold Wink of Stella over the leaves. You can barely see it in the photo but trust me, it's stunning to see in person. I added a double mat of Basic Black and Cajun Craze, a sentiment (non SU) using my Layering Oval Framelits, and a strip of 5/8" Burlap Ribbon. I stamped the envelope flap using the same three colors for a finishing touch. As much as I love fall, this is a card that I probably wouldn't use outside of the season, so I changed it up on the next one by using different leaves and colors: On this one I left off the maple & oak leaves and used all the others. The colors are Dapper Denim (stamped off once), Pear Pizzazz and Smoky Slate. I covered the Smoky Slate leaves with clear Wink of Stella - it shows up nicely here, isn't it pretty? The ribbon on this one is Dapper Denim 3/8" Ruched Ribbon. I hope you're inspired by these cards! Please visit my website to purchase any of the products mentioned here. Happy stamping, Pat
It's easy to create a card front in just a few steps with the Gorgeous Garden Dies. Gorgeous Garden First, I made the card base with Thick Basic White Cardstock, 8 1/2" X 5 1/2", folded

It's back to a colour week at Less is More and, this week, it's 'three shades of green'. Green and I don't have the best relationship; I'm more a warm colours lass. But then they do call them challenges for a reason. My mind instantly went to leaves and to French Foliage more specifically. Once I'd thought of this, the card didn't take too long to come together: Supplies Stamps: French Foliage, Faith in Nature (the sentiment) Ink: Certainly Celery, Old Olive, Always Artichoke, Crumb Cake for the splodges Card: Confetti Cream As always, if you are interested in this or any other SU supplies, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me either by email or by phone on 07977 141605. Hello Double D Friends! WOW! You are all amazing crafters! So many AWESOME challenge entries that we ALL had difficulty narrowing do...
Welcome to a new challenge at Colour INKspiration! Once again, we had a huge number of fabulous entries. I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone does with this inspiration, chosen by Crew Member Lou Kitzelman. If you haven't played with us before, we are a group of Stampin' Up Demonstrators from the South Pacific. Challenges are shown and entered via our Facebook Group page. If you don't belong, and would like to, click here. Don't forget to answer the three easy questions you'll be asked when you ask to join the group. Each challenge, Top Picks and a winner are chosen by the crew and the winner offered a chance to Guest Design with us for a future challenge. This time, we have Berdien Weideveld joining us as Guest Designer. If you don't have an exact challenge colour, feel free to replace it with whatever you have that's closest. Black, White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand and metallics are free colours, as are flesh toned Stampin' Blends. One of my favourite bundles from the July-December Mini Catalogue is the Gorgeous Leaves bundle and, as many regular followers will know, I have an ongoing fascination with the Stitched Triangle Dies. Which brought me to this.... In the close-up photo, you can more clearly see that the triangles have all be stamped with images from Gorgeous Leaves, in matching ink. The card front was embossed using the Timber 3D Folder from the July-December Mini Catalogue. When you visit the Colour INKspiration site to enter, don't forget to check out the album of Crew Cards for further inspiration. I have two cards today for the Less is More challenge, which this week is 'Script'. The card on the left is using French Foliage and En Francais with a sentiment from Petite Pairs and is all stamped in Old Olive. I began by stamping off the En Francais stamp before stamping the image down the left hand side of the card then I took the three leaves and stamped randomly over the script and, without re-inking, I stamped them again. A lot of the white card base is covered but I think that, because none of the images are solid, the white shows through and gives the impression of still having quite a lot of white space - well I hope so anyway! The second card is made with a sentiment stamp from Happiest Birthday Wishes (a hostess set) and, because Chrissie & Mandi have said the script must not just be a sentiment stamp, I have adapted it a little. The original stamp starts with the 'B' and ends with a '!' and just above the 'T' it says happy, so I masked off the 'happy' and inked the rest of the stamp with Soft Suede and placed in the centre at the bottom of the card. Using my stamp-a-ma-jig I stamped again at either side to make a script border. I then took another stamp from the same set and inked just the 'Wishing you a happy' part with a Soft Suede marker and positioned this above. The mushrooms are from the Everybunny set and were stamped in Soft Suede and Old Olive then coloured in using a blender pen. I hope you all have a great weekend and I look forward to coming round and visiting you all - when I've got the housework and the shopping done that is!!
