Introducing the newest issue of the Goodnewspaper: The 2023 Animals Edition! If you know us, you know we take a no-fluff stance when it comes to good news… but we make a bit of an exception when it comes to this annual issue of the Goodnewspaper. Make no mistake: the good news that fills the pages of this issue celebrates real, important, significant progress thanks to and for animals — the subject matter just happens to come with fluff, scales, feathers, fins, and everything in between. So while you won’t find purely adorable stories about animals, in this issue you will read stories about Helpers making a difference for animals by: 🐊 Restoring critical wildlife habitats around the world 🦜 Training folks to care for animals rescued from illegal trafficking 🤖 Using technology like AI and geolocation to take better care of wildlife ❤️ Taking care of the folks that care for our beloved pets — veterinarians! 🐀 And so much more And to state the obvious: animals make a really big difference for people and the planet, too — the proof is in the team of conservation dogs protecting wildlife and sniffing out invasive plants, the pack of rats helping with earthquake recovery efforts, and more. Now go take your dog for a walk — they deserve it. --- If you want to save on this issue, you can become a Good Good Good Member during the month of July and get this issue for only $8. We're proud to introduce Good Good Good's Refugee Edition of the Goodnewspaper, guest edited by poet, artist, and former-refugee Ahmed Badr. This issue begins with a note from Ahmed: "One thing I wish people knew about refugees is that their experiences are three-dimensional, complex, and not limited to tragedy and pain. I think you’ll see in this issue that this is true. This issue is so important because it recognizes the need for refugees to tell their stories on their own terms and then fulfills that acknowledgement by amplifying their stories through its pages." You’ll read stories about: Repurposing life jackets into jewelry A virtual reality project that puts you in the shoes of someone living in a refugee camp Artists who transformed a prison into a colorful place to live An interview with a top UN official, Kelly T. Clements, who offers valuable insight into the organizational perspective of the global refugee crisis Above all our hope is that you will see that there is no one image, one story, or one representation that can fully capture the word “refugee.” Refugees are students, leaders, and friends, who — just like you — dream of a world that can be safe, secure, and full of joy and meaning. This issue is itself a call to action, a call toward solidarity, collaboration, and empathy. --- Save by becoming a Good Good Good member

Introducing the newest Goodnewspaper: The 2022 Pride Edition! 🏳️🌈 🏳️⚧️ Happy Pride Month! This year, amidst heartbreaking transphobic and homophobic legislation in the U.S., it can be especially challenging for our LGBTQ+ family to find and revel in the good. Yet against that backdrop, we hope this issue of the Goodnewspaper says to queer folks everywhere: We love you. We’re here to celebrate every beautiful, arduous step of the journey to a better world. And we hope you’ll join us in celebrating moments of progress, support, and joy for the LGBTQ+ community as you read about: 🏳️🌈 An international organization mobilizing to support homeless LGBTQ+ youth 🏳️🌈 A nonprofit making sports safer and more inclusive for LGBTQ+ athletes 🏳️⚧️ Dylan Mulvaney’s reflections heading into her first Pride as a trans woman 💍 The wedding industry’s evolution to include all kinds of love 🏳️🌈 And so much more. And this month, when companies dip themselves in rainbows and politicians continue their tug-of-war on LGBTQ+ equality — we will be here, steady and unfaltering in our belief that there is always someone helping, and there are always moments of beauty and progress to celebrate. --- If you want to save on this issue, you can become a Good Good Good Member during the month of June and get this issue for only $8. We’re thrilled to introduce the new issue of the Goodnewspaper: The Change Edition! It’s also our 30th issue of the Goodnewspaper, and as we looked back through the last 29 issues, every single one included the word “change” at least once. In just our first 15 issues, we used the word 115 times. It would be an understatement to say that change as a concept is core to Good Good Good and the Goodnewspaper. When the world is filled with heartbreak, pain, and injustice — we’re celebrating those who are fighting to change that. Whether stepping up to help a real-life neighbor in need, to small actions that solve a huge, global problem — it’s all real, meaningful change. This issue of the Goodnewspaper is a celebration of all kinds of change: solutions to climate change, changing your life, social change, language evolving and changing for good, and all of the many ways people are opting to be the change they wish to see in the world. As we celebrate our 30th Goodnewspaper, it’s not hard to think about the positive change created by this community in particular. Thank you for continually showing up to be the change right where you are — this issue is truly for you. --- If you want to save on this issue, you can become a Good Good Good Member during the month of December and get this issue for only $8. We’re so excited to introduce the newest issue of the Goodnewspaper: The Do Good Edition! Ever since we created and printed our first Goodnewspaper in 2017, Good Good Good has existed with one simple mission: To help readers feel more hopeful and do more good. We do this by sharing stories of real, everyday people — just like each of us — that are making a difference in the face of some of the world’s most pressing and heartbreaking challenges. Inspired by Mister Rogers, we call them the Helpers. In this issue, the Helpers are doing good by: Making parks more accessible by offering all-terrain wheelchairs Finding fur-ever homes for a record number of rescue dogs Combating social isolation for elderly individuals Eradicating infectious diseases around the world And so much more. But it would be a shame if the Goodnewspaper only helped people feel better about the world and stopped there. The world needs more Helpers — and we each have a role to play in helping. That’s why, in this and every issue of the Goodnewspaper, we go a step further share practical action steps on how to get involved with these and other issues that tug at your heart. When we pay attention to good news stories, our brains feel more hopeful. There’s a lot of really cool, nerdy science behind why that happens, but the gist of it is: The power of hope gives us the power to enact change. And we hope this issue of the Goodnewspaper reminds you of the good in the world, helps you feel more hopeful, and inspires you to become a Helper yourself. ---If you want to save on this issue, you can become a Good Good Good Member during the month of December and get this issue for only $8.
