A set of six vintage fish plates by Longchamp, France. The perfect gift for anyone who enjoys fishing or cooking fish dishes. An ideal gift for fish chefs. They are large dinner plates, measuring 24cms/ 9½". They all have a gold "gilded" edge pattern trim and smooth, elegant finish. There are six different designs illustrating various fish swimming amongst reeds and seashells. The colours and details of the illustrations are incredibly accurate and realistic. They are all in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. A couple of the plates have the beginnings of some slight "hairline crackle" to the glazes, which is to be expected with the age of this set, and does not in any way detract from their beauty or functionality. They have many years of service yet to offer. All have the "Longchamp" France mark on the undersides. et Voilà!............... We offer FREE worldwide shipping. Pochoir was a damn delicate practice, and it was inextricably bound to the star of Paris' Golden Age of Illustration, André E. Marty. The Frenchman and his stencil-centric drawing or pochoir method defined the aesthetics of a generation, especially for the high fashion set. There was "an
