The Champagne Cardigan is worked from the top down with raglan increases on the yoke and a deep V-neck. The neckline of the cardigan is shaped with short rows by raising the back of the neck. The button plackets are worked in double knitting with buttonholes along the right side. Size guide The Champagne Cardigan has an oversize fit and is designed to have approx. 28 cm [11 inches] of positive ease, meaning it is designed to be 28 cm [11 inches] larger in circumference than your bust measurement. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL are designed to fit a bust circumference of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 cm (130-140) 140-150 cm [31½-33½ (33½-35½) 35½-37½ (37½-39½) 39½-43¼ (43¼-47¼) 47¼-51¼ (51¼-55) 55-59 inches]. Errata & Clarifications KNITTER'S NOTESTo be sure your garment turns out the right size, it’s important to swatch until you get the correct gauge. Stitch gauge determines the fit; row gauge affects the length. Cast on 33 sts for a nice big swatch approx. 6"/15cm-wide; work in St St for 6"/15cm; bind off loosely. Measure and note unblocked gauge for reference when knitting. Wet block your swatch; let rest for a day or two. Measure again—gauge may change after it relaxes. Cardigan is worked at 22 sts/30 rows = 4"/10cm. Measure center 4"/10com of swatch (edge stitches may be distorted). If you have more sts or rows per "/cm, your gauge is a little tight; try swatching again on larger needle. If you have fewer sts or rows per "/cm, your gauge is a little loose; try again on smaller needle.

Oh a classic cabled cardigan! It never goes out of style and it can be worn with nearly everything! I set out to add one that was fun to knit to my wardrobe and this is how the Porter Cardigan came about. It is a classic sturdy cabled cardigan that I'll pull out year after year and will never go out of style.Body is knit from the body up, flat. Sleeves are knit from the bottom up in the round and joined to the body at the underarms. Raglan decreases are made through the yoke, with a slight tweak so that the cable of the arm travels all the way up the shoulder. Buttonbands are picked up for the front. Though the sample does not use a smaller needle size for the ribbing, some knitters prefer to work ribbing on a tighter needle.Sizes: Finished chest measurement: 31¼ (35, 39¼, 42½, 46, 50, 54¾) inches – designed to be worn with approximately 0-4 inches of positive ease.Yarn Peace Fleece (75% pure fine wool, 25% mohair; 200 yds per 4 oz skein)A suggested substitute yarn is shown below.
