This blog hop is for our September Release, just in case you didn't get enough inspiration at last night's party! ;) We hope to inspire you with some eye candy as you hop along. Enjoy the gorgeous inspiration samples from the team and then comment on each blog for your chance to win an awesome grab bag of GKD goodies! Additionally, I will be giving one of these cards away! First up, I have a few samples with my new Triple Play Holiday! It coordinates with the Triple Play Frame, but can do so much more. I am loving all the little bits! Who's ready to get started on Christmas cards? The wreaths, two step images, and and homespun elements in this set make accenting the frame a snap! Twine!! Jingle bells!! I showed this single layer Kraft design at the party. The embroidery combos are truly endless! Now you can have a homespun stitched look on any card, frame or no, in any ink pads you choose! I love "no sew"! Here is another single layer card. I am so stinkin' excited about this raffia wrap! The raffia is drawn to look like it is just wrapping around the edges of that layer in the frame, see? here I stamped it in Charcoal Brown and colored it with Spectrum Noir FS1 and GB1 markers. Tracing the underside with a BG3 marker to create a drop shadow adds a lot, but I will show in a video how to create even more dimension on the raffia than I did here, for even more realism, and it's really easy! Love how the leaves fit in the windows and the smaller two step versions work as accents or a charm (stamped in Tomato Soup ink) The diamond border is a filler for the open border in Triple Play Fillers, and is a great way to fill in this smaller section. I also added a few stitched to the belly band, to add interest. And finally I wanted to show one with the leaves again and the dahlia, also fits in the round windows, but no frame this time. There is a lot of shading in this line art flower, so it's incredibly easy to color. Begin by stamping the flowers in Dark Chocolate, then the leaves around them in the chocolate and also Grass Green, add the smaller leaves and now you have a vine! I sponged on both inks around the edges. Next, I used a water brush and painted on a bit of Peach Bellini ink to the flower, and a little green and the peach on the leaves. I'll admit I dropped a huge spot of water (lower left, huge!!) so this was the perfect to time to "just add water" and do some more drops and make it look intentional. That is the beauty of watercolor: messy, and beautiful, just like life! So don't throw it away, go with it! I love how this adds age and romance to the design. If you missed my intro video and single layer cupcake card (mmm, cupcakes!), please be sure to scroll down to the post below. :) That's all i'm showing now because I have lots of videos already recorded and need to save some surprises! ;) The next set we are showcasing is Theresa Momber's Vine & Butterfly. I love this rectangular vine stamp! There are so many ways to configure it on a card, and lots of inky techniques to try. Here is a very simple one I did just inking up one piece of the vine by tapping on my ink pads. An easy way to add flourishes on your cards, anywhere you need them. Sky is sponged with Gina K. Sweet Mango and Dusty Rose. Cardstock is Gina K. Pure Luxury White, Black Onyx and Ocean Mist. Love the "You've got this"! I shared this card last night. I inked up the vine image in Jelly Bean Green (and tapped a little of Fresh Asparagus and Grass Green on before stamping to add some different shades) over the stamped Triple Play Frame (this vine fits in there so nicely!) and stamped on the stitched berries from my new Triple Play Holiday set in Blue Denim ink. (I have a wisteria pad but look how nice and purple the Denim ink paints with water!) Next I stamped the butterflies in Black Onyx, cut them out, and water colored them with the Blue Denim ink pad. Finally I popped them up with foam squares and brushed on just a bit of the Wink of Stella glitter pen. Card base is Pure Luxury Wild Wisteria. Hello everyone! I am excited to be here sharing a couple of cards I created from the Gina K. Designs NEWLY June 2022 release, that is available NOW. I am using the NEWLY released "Sympathy and Love" stamp set and coordinating dies illustrated by Beth Silaika. You can see more inspiration from the full release on the Gina K. Here are my cards for your inspiration: My first card is an A2 card, I cut the layers using the GKD Master Layouts 2. I stamped the butterflies from the "Sympathy and Love" stamp set with the new Carnation Inks, and then stamped the sentiment from the "Sympathy and Love" stamp set, I stamped it with black ink and then embossed it with clear embossing powder. My second card, I used the wreath builder template and used the smallest butterfly from the "Sympathy and Love" stamp set and stamped them in rainbow color. I stamped the sentiment from the "Sympathy and Love" stamp set. I hope you have been inspired, these cards are so clean and simple and easy to reproduce. Next I began coloring with my Y17 Copic® marker. Then added Y21. For the stems, I used YG25. Then shaded with YG95. After coloring, I cut out the image. Next I used my Spellbinders™Labels Four die template to cut and emboss Pure Luxury Ivory card stock, then sponged with Gina K Fresh Asparagus ink. Then sponged using Gina K Innocent Pink ink. I stamped one of the foliage images using Gina K Innocent Pink ink. I cut and embossed a piece of the Petals and Wings pattern paper using Spellbinders Elegant Labels 4, using Gina K Innocent Pink. Then cut another piece of Petals and Wings pattern paper and sponged the edges using Gina K Innocent Pink ink. I cut and embossed Pure Luxury Ivory using a Spellbinders Charmed I'm Sure die template, then sponged with Gina K Fresh Asparagus. And stamped the sentiment using Memento Espresso Truffle. Hello everyone! I am sharing this butterfly card I created using the newly released Gina K. Designs Beautiful Butterflies 2 Stamp Set and the Beautiful Butterflies die set illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger. You can see more inspiration on the Gina K. Here are my cards for your inspiration: Here is how I created my card: Card is an A2 card, used Master Layouts 1 for the two layers. Ink blended the In the Navy cardstock on the corners. Used GKD Funky Flourish in the background ink blending with GKD White Pigment Ink. I stamped and heat embossed the largest butterfly from the Beautiful Butterflies 2 stamp set and inked blended with GKD inks. Die cut the butterfly and used foam squares to pop it up on my card. I stamped the sentiment from the Butterflies 2 Stamp Set and heat embossed in with GKD detail white embossing powder. Hello friends and welcome to Day 1 of the Gina K Designs August Release Blog Hop! Today we're featuring two brand new stamp sets - Wetlands 2 and Fabulous Rose Frame. Make sure you check out the details on how I created both of my cards and then check out how you can win a $50 gift certificate to Gina K Designs. Dragonfly Cattail Card | Wetlands 2 Stamp Set The first card I'm sharing used the new Wetlands 2 Stamp Set by Theresa Momber. This set is full of serene water images including cattails, dragonflies and cranes. To create this card, I stamped the image in black ink on watercolor paper and then used a foam blending tool to apply a variety of Distress Oxide Inks in a rainbow of colors. I then used the Gina K Designs large Double Stitched Oval to die cut the paper. Before adhering it to the card front, I flicked it with a little water and dabbed it dry. I then layered it onto a piece of black cardstock die cut using the large Single Stitched Oval die. I also stamped one of the extra dragonflies onto the card. After stamping it, I kind of thought I should have masked it first. However, after a little more thought, I realized that the way I stamped it helps add a little more depth to the design. For an added touch of dimension, I applied Glossy Accents to the wings and body of the dragonfly in the forefront. Thinking Of You Card | Fabulous Rose Frame Stamp Set Next up is the beautiful new Fabulous Rose Frame Stamp Set by Melanie Muenchinger. Along with a gorgeous floral stamp set, this set also coordinates with two new die sets that cut out the banner or the flowers. Together this set gives you unlimited design possibilities. I began by stamping the rose frame image onto watercolor paper using Versamark Embossing ink and then heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. To color the image, I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a water brush to achieve a watercolored look. I then finished off this part of the card by die cutting it using the coordinating Fabulous Rose Frame Die and attached this piece to the card front. To create the label or banner, I stamped the image with Versamark Embossing ink and again heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. The label also comes with a coordinating die called Fabulous Label Die that I used to die cut this piece as well. I then stamped the "thinking of" sentiment and then added the "you" using the You Die before attaching this piece to complete the card. There are so many possibilities with this stamp set, ok, I think I said that about the last release and probably the release before that. Every release seems to get better and I can't help to say there are so many possibilities. Lisa's set is so versitle, you can even use her Hello Beautiful and You Are with this set! Just a Little Illustrated by Lisa McClelland Hetrick Here is the card I am sharing with you today. My card is 3 1/2 x 5, I stamped the background with the background stripes from the Just a Little stamp set using Gina K. Wild Dandelion ink. I stamped off, so the yellow would not be so bright. I stamped the flower image with Gina K. Designs Amalgam Ink - Jet Black and colored it with copics. I fuzzy cut the small rose and the other flower from the Just a Little stamp set, I colored the rose with copics, and then used the solid image from the stamp set and stamped it with Gina K. Wild Dandelion ink. I used foam tape and popped the flowers onto the card. I finished the card off by stamping the sentiment. Closer look so you could see I painted some Nuvo Aqua Shimmer - Glitter Gloss over the flowers. Grand Garden Illustrated by Alicia Krupsky My second card I am showcasing the beautiful Grand Garden by Alicia Krupsky. This stamp set is grand! I love this flower, again there are so many possibilities. I am so proud of my card, I decided I was going to tackle no line coloring. I thought this would be a great stamp set to do it with since the image is so large. I love how it turned out. I am going to keep practicing so maybe one day I will be able to color like my design team mate Arjita. This card is an A2 card, I stamped the flower image in the background with my favorite color Gina K. designs Passionate Pink. I stamped the sentiment and placed the leaves and flower where I wanted them to be. I used foam tape to pop the flower up. I finished the card off by adding some crystal drops. Gina K Fluttering Fall Stencil Card I used my new Gina K layering stencil to make this card. I used my new Gina K Mini mini blending brushes and they work so well for stenciling. I used Gina K's Lemon Drop, Sweet Mango, Coral Reef and Black Onyx inks to make the flowers and butterfly. I used Jelly Bean Green, Fresh Asparagus and Turquoise Sea on the larger leaves. For the small leaves I used Grass Green and Fresh Asparagus. The branches were inked with Warm Cocoa and Dark Chocolate. I used the Harvest Flourish in Lemon Drop for the background. I die cut the smile with Black Cardstock. Card layers are Black, Sweet Mango and Lemon Drop Cardstock. I finished the card with same orange rhinestones for some bling. Welcome to a new Gina K. Designs release! First up I have a couple of cards created from a fabulous new set illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger called Beautiful Butterflies. Black Onyx, Passionate Pink, Tranquil Teal and Sea Glass GKD inks were used on my card. A coordinating die was used to cut the butterfly out. I ink blended the butterflies with Tranquil Teal and In The Navy GKD inks directly onto one of the butterfly images with a finger dauber and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. The second set that we are showcasing today is called Wildflowers and Weeds illustrated by Lisa Hetrick. This set also has coordinating dies that may be purchased separately. For my first card I created an Autumn scene. I sponged a variety of GKD inks to the bicycle wheel with a finger dauber to give it an antique kinda look using colors you would associate with the fall season. For the second card I used the "smooshing" technique with Wild Dandelion, Powder Blue and Wild Lilac GKD inks. Other inks used were Black Onyx and Sweet Corn. The last set today is illustrated by Hannah Drapinski called Positive Thoughts. Here are my cards featuring this set. I kept this card very simple and just added some color to the cheeks and some eyeliner. For my last card I used an image from the Tiny Textures mini stamp set to stamp the background with Wild Dandelion, Bubblegum Pink, Jelly Bean Green and Sea Glass GKD inks. This card is an all around type of card that with a different sentiment added inside could be used for many occasions. I chose black, white and a pop of turquoise for my card using stamps from the Gina K. Designs Sending Love stamp set. I stamped the images and sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink and when they were dry I mixed Zig Clean Color waterbased markers of black, dark gray and light gray with water and used a brush to add color to the images. The splatters on the background were also added with these colors. I die cut the top panel out with a Memory Box Cross Stitched Border die and then added the turquoise ribbon. This was then layered onto some black card stock before adding it to the base card of white card stock. The finishing touch was to add some turquoise rhinestones to the flowers and to the sentiment. Gina K New Beginnings Card I love the butterflies of this stamp set so I tried several color combinations and different embossing powder. I love the tiny stars that I stamped for the background in Gina K Lemon Drop and Versamark pad using Wow Clear Sparkle. I wanted to pick up the color yellow in the butterfly. The butterfly was stamped with Black Onyx ink and Versamark and I used clear embossing powder. I used watercolor paper and watercolor pencils to color the butterfly. I don't have the die for this set so I fussy cut the butterfly. I popped up the butterfly and sentiments to give depth to the card.
