"Ho'okipa" is a pretty crescent shaped shawlette named after beautiful beach on Maui were surfers and windsurfers gather to ride ocean waves. “Ho'okipa” is worked sideways in one piece. Stockinette stitch body is shaped by series of increases and decreases. A lovely lace and twisted stitch border runs along the bottom edge, which also lends itself to beading. The size can be easily changed by adding more repeats of lace border. The blue sample shown knit in "Shalimar Yarns" Breathless uses one skein of yarn (384m) and the blue/green sample knit in Dye For Yarn Merino/Silk DK uses 2 skeins (420m). The pattern has written and charted instructions and is suited for intermediate and advanced skill levels. There is some patterning on the wrong side, albeit very easy. “Ho'okipa” will be a great addition to any wardrobe as it is fun and functional! Wrap it around your neck for a great accent or knit it larger and wear it as a shawl! A suggested substitute yarn is shown below.

Boho style is very popular in summer - you can count on this beautiful crochet skirt with asymmetric hem to keep your look cool. Wear it either with slip skirt or without it (as a beach skirt) - both ways look great. The skirt in the photos was made for size M with hips circumference 94-100 cm (37-39.5’’). As this design is motif based, the sizes are worked by increasing round motifs. I have included suggestions on the diameter of round motifs for sizes: XS/S with hips circumference 84-90 cm (33-35.5’’) M with hips circumference 94-100 cm (37-39.5’’) - sample shown; M/L with hips circumference 104-110 cm (41-43.5’’) XL/2XL with hips circumference 114-120 cm (45-47’’) 2XL/3XL with hips circumference 124-130 cm (49-51’’). Thread: number 10 / Lace / 3 ply / 560 m in 100 gr / 616 yards in 3.5 oz / example. Total thread usage for size M is 1600 - 1820 yards (1463 - 1664 m). Second number is for skirt with fringe. Thread for size M/L: La Perla by Omega or Sara by Lang yarns Thread for size XL/2XL: Filo di Scozia 5 by Titan Wool Thread for size 2XL/3XL: Extra 30/10 by Lang yarns or Handicrafter Crochet Thread Solids Size 5 You will receive: ► detailed crochet tutorial in ENGLISH for every row (browse the screen shots of several pages); ► HQ diagrams in PDF-format (all charts are blurred in the screen shots), layout of motifs should be downloaded even if you do not read charts; ► written explanation of all rows of the diagrams is included (in case you are not used to work with the crochet charts). A flattering style women’s hat. This beret knits up quickly in chunky weight yarn. The headband is knitted first to fit the head circumference. Stitches are picked up from along the head band edge to make the crown which is knitted in the round on double pointed needles.

A brim like a wreath of flowers. If you completed the flowery brim, you can relax, going on with some straight brioche knitting. But looking back, what you´ve done already, will make you so proud! The crown is designed as easy as possible. The patterned brim is stretchy and well-fitting at the same time. So don´t be afraid of brioche knitting any longer. You don´t have to be. If it´s something you´ve never tried, it´s like anything else in knitting - it´s just a matter of learning how to do it and practicing. If you are new to brioche knitting, a hat is a good place to start. As you should know the brioche pattern is only worked every 4 rounds, giving you a chance to get into a rhythm. The rounds of the patterned brim are given in charts too. You can do it, knitters! Come find me over on instagram! @katta_rinah The ROSENKRANZ hat can be knit in multiple sizes by changing number of stitches, needle size and gauge; Block the finished cap over a steep-sided bowl or other head-shaped form to smooth the crown. Follow the alternative simpler decrease directions for br4stdec, without using a cable needle – you will enjoy it. Berni
