Sail into serenity with our exclusive print, encapsulating the tranquil essence of a picturesque Scottish harbour through the lens of minimalism. With an expertly curated medley of warm and cool hues, this print features a graceful sailboat, its slender masts standing tall against a backdrop of simplified, geometrically abstracted structures. Reflected in the still waters below are the softened silhouettes of these buildings, washed in subdued shades of red, blue, and ochre, interlaced with subtle gradations that create an almost ethereal mirror image. The scene skillfully employs a restrained colour palette, balancing rich, deep tones against expanses of pristine white, evoking the crisp, fresh air of the Scottish coast. Amidst the restrained detail, discernible geometric forms hint at the unmistakable architecture of a harbour town, with elements like chimneys and rooftops distilled to their bare essence. The overall composition is both striking in its simplicity and inviting in its abstract representation, allowing the viewer's imagination to roam. This exquisite print, a part of the 'Modern & Minimal' collection, presents an evocative moment where time seems to stand still, perfect for lending an air of calm sophistication to any space. Whether it graces the walls of a bustling home or a contemplative office environment, it's an ode to the soothing power of minimalist art and the timeless beauty of the Scottish shores.
'Les Lignes Musicales' is an elegant minimalist abstract figurative ink drawing on paper by emerging Belgian artist - Hildegarde Handsaeme. It is a great modern portrait of a man playing several musical instruments (saxophone, guitar), illustrated with soft fluid, uninterrupted lines and balanced geometric forms. Romantic subject of this graphic artwork combined with formal black and white color aesthetic makes this art piece unique and suitable for any interior style. This contemporary original drawing is in excellent condition (new). It is shipped directly from the artist's studio in Belgium along with a Certificate of Authenticity, signed and dated by the artist. You will receive the drawing unframed. The artist paints mainly women and follows a harmonic and constructively perfect pattern. The figure in itself is dominating but the artist knows how to put it the right surroundings where nature and cosmos play a symbolic part. With a set of straight lines, Hildegarde builds a mysterial haze of inner feelings on the canvas in a simple but penetrative way. She does not call for hallucinating images bet lets herself go with sensitivity guided by an unfailing intuition. Even when the figures, at first sight, seem distant they point to a certain duality and yet her usage of colors express an honest alliance between the data and the deeper thoughts. With an articulated preference for the figure and the nature of woman, Handsaeme went the self-teaching way in the plastic art form. The sensitive approach to this theme remains her source of inspiration which is utterly inexhaustible. A couple of years ago, she achieved a broad recognition of her artistic language when she obtained the third international prize for painting in Libramont. Hildegarde’s work presents such an original form and content that it is difficult to classify her work or compare her style to other artists. Only extremely gifted artists succeed to be independent of the start and grow gradually to a recognizable style. This is utterly rare. Like a red thread, Hildegarde’s personality runs through her works which show us a very characteristic world. She seems to know always what she does and why and she leaves nothing to fate. Her work is as she envisioned it, and what she envisions she gets, in her own way, from the background into focus so one can say without looking at her signature that her personality is clearly there. Her work is very personal and shows that art per se has no boundaries, it is not subjected to strict laws, it’s unseizable and difficult to put into words. Simply and honestly Hildegarde gives us the message of love and tenderness which should be shown to each individual. In a pictural equilibrated and harmonic way, she knows how to remind us of the glamorous intuition of a woman. Born in Kortrijk, Hildegarde lives and works in Terlanen, Belgium. 'Geometric abstraction is a form of abstract art based on the use of geometric forms sometimes, though not always, placed in non-illusionistic space and combined into non-objective (non-representational) compositions. Although the genre was popularized by avant-garde artists in the early twentieth century, similar motifs have been used in art since ancient times' (Wikipedia)

Capturing the essence of tranquillity through an artistic lens, this exquisite print celebrates the serene charm of Oban Harbour with a striking minimalist approach. Hues of golden yellow, soft peach, and a spectrum of blues and greys are thoughtfully arranged in geometric abstraction. They ebb and flow across the piece, evoking the reflective water's surface and the tranquil skies at dusk. In the foreground, the elegant silhouette of sailboats bobbing gently on the harbour's mirrored surface adds a touch of nautical tranquillity. The landscape behind is portrayed in a tapestry of simplified forms, capturing the architectural features of the harbour buildings. Towering spires and rooftops are juxtaposed with cubist-inspired shapes creating an interplay of structure and open space that is hallmark to minimalist design. The composition balances the stark lines of modernity with the soft, blending wash of watercolours, creating a print that has both the calmness of a seaside retreat and the crispness of a contemporary gallery piece. As part of the 'Modern & Minimal' collection, this print offers a versatile aesthetic that complements any interior, be it a chic urban dwelling or a cozy coastal home, fostering a sense of peaceful reflection reminiscent of a leisurely stroll along the quay.
